I remember a bowling alley near my house… they didn’t have mortal Kombat… but they had this 😢
When i was 11 years old, my 2 brothers and I had saved some money so we could get MK3. we gave our mom $70. Why did she come back with Pit fighters and $50 saying that the guy told her that it was as good as mortal kombat. We got stuck with the game because we opened it to see the hype and was highly disappointed.
(Mom went back and bought MK3 😅)
She was a real cool mom to not only go back and get the right game, but letting you guys play it at that age@@HuhHaaHYAAAT
This is one of the video games that my Dad would sit down and play with me as a kid. Brings back great memories.
Elbow of the Stinky Star
This is about the level of respect this game deserves. Just destroyed.
I hope that fighter got to spend all the prize money.
It's like they made a real video game out of a video game parody
I wish these characters made a guess appearance in Mortal Kombat or some fighting games. Especially this guy and his Elbow of Doom.😂
I love these TAS runs on old arcade games. As a kid I could never beat em or didn’t have enough money. Getting to see all the levels and bosses is pretty cool.
Ty, Also known as Star Platinum.
It was actually kinda fun in the arcade with 3 players back in the day
This was before mo-cap and high def. The designers became very wealthy for trying something radically different and it paid off.
I would hate to remember how much money I put in to this game at an arcade.
@@hawaiidkw1 But that's what made it so great! A crazy-ass brawl with three strangers and a terrific story the next day.
This is the Temu version of Raging Demon.
I was not expecting the attack would be like what happened close to the Sega Genesis with the same elbow attack.
This feels like re-watching the Sega Genesis version only with the original Arcade quality and this TAS made it better.
Nicely done, CoolHandMike.
1:21
Oh my god dude this was clearly a best of 3, you don't have to resort to CBT
Three guys get trounced then “JUST WAIT….” made me laugh
"JUST WAIT....
as I call a taxi and get the hell outta here!"
Funniest touch of death combo i've ever seem in a fighting game, didn't know this game had juggles lol
Girl at the end gave Ty the reward he was REALLY after!
Imagining his opponents just stun locked thinking wtf is happening he's hitting me 40 times per second
I always enjoy watching this old cheating ass AI get destroyed in these TAS videos lol.
Thanks for playing through this game so I don't have to.
The game came out in arcade Fall 1990
This was one of the first SNES games my parents got me. What a difference there was between versions. They used the same enemies over in that version.
The SNES port was absolutely abysmal, but the worst part is that there were worse ports
Yeah, I remember this game on Super Nintendo. I was highly excited when I finally rented it at the local video store, then seriously disappointed when I got home and played it. Then I got Street Fighter 2 and fell in love around that time.
Amazing Tas 😁👍
"I don't know what happened, he just cartwheeled into me and had an epileptic fit and the next thing I knew, I was on the ground"
The advantage of Ty was he has back elbow move with only a single frame,I think TAS use combination between back elbow and kick to get single frame infinite combo
This is one of my childhood favorites and we never ever played like this🤦🏿♂️
Those lines between matches are painfully 90s. All it needs is some utterance of "rad" and we'd be all set.
Best beating I've ever seen.
Victory BJ
My brother liked this arcade game. Suffice it to say, when we got a Super Nintendo, he decided to rent the SNES port of it.
Holy CRAP the SNES version SUCKED! I didn't play it, myself, but I watched my bro, and it appeared to have shit controls and one of the characters had a very long intro animation which allowed EVERY OTHER CHARACTER to be able to get a free hit in on him!
So I'm glad that I can see this version instead tonight.
I remember doing the same gltich with the bad guys by cartwheeling onto them, elbowing and doing that tornado kick timed just right and have the opponents just stand there, same with Kato's endless special Dim Mak.
Before there was Mortal Kombat, there was Pit Fighter.
0:48 "Just wait."
No, no I don't think that's an option sir. Thanks though.
The lady playing "Heavy Metal" is Kim Rhodes, as you can see in the credits. But she went on to bigger and better things. Actually a damn fine actress if I'm being honest. As for the other ladies at the end? No info about either of them lol
Heavy Metal here looks like a guy without a shirt. Are you sure you're referring to the right Kim Rhodes?
Great, just a wait for the SNES version XD
YOU MADE IT! 💰💰💰
This ones a real gem
I didn't know Ty knew the art of the Hokuto Shinken!
I've been living life wrong for years. If I want to get things done quickly, just use a back elbow.
Damn that was fast
good speed run
I beat the Arcade version without spending too much, back in the day. The SNES version was completely unplayable... so I see why people hate on it.
demasiado destacado & Cools 🐥🌻✨
Original mk
Terminal Montage, you know what to do!
Totally Studly!
That was totally studly
What kind of an acid trip is this
What are you talking about? If it wasn't for Pit Fighter there would have never been a Mortal Kombat game.
I always use buzz on pit fighter 0:57
This guy n blue is a pop off machine lmao😂
I love when the player does the KO trick, the enemies freeze in places.
Man i remember the little department store my mom used to go to and they had this machine
1 dollar in quarters for a fruit punch soda and 3 tries at this
That was the life
This has to be the most 'videogame' ever made. I loved this TAS
"Awesomely Done" =..)
Angel.
"Haaaaaacks !" 🤣
It's rather comical watching the player just "machine-gun punch" his way to an obscene amount of victories in a game like this. It's funny as hell.
Ty might be the stand of someone in Jojo's.
Knife gets slided in as the guys getting absolutely trounced
TOTALLY STUDLY
Pero como rayos lo hizo, lo hizo a puros codazos.
Tan rápido eso sí record.
0:48 Van Darkholme, is that you?
Nice, now do the SNES version LOL
Só para BR raiz aqui: A ultima vez que joguei esse jogo foi em Caldas Novas - GO 😂😂😂
This reminds me of Lords of the Lockerroom.. oh god lol
These plumbers don't wear Ty down!
Dude was fighting and celebrating like an ADHD kid on a sugar rush.
There's nothing the enemy can do when just glitch all over them lol.
Done with Ty... do with Buzz and Kato!!
There are no snails, wheels, art challenges, nor a sassy cohost, so I don't see how this can have the title of "Arcade Pit".
Una persona le toma 30 minutos.
[TAS] en 4 minutos con trabadas.
is it just me or do i hear somebody at 1:35 shouting "HECK YEAH"
just thought that was funny considering how hard this game flops (specifically the SNES ver)
What a crummy arcade game
Omae wa mou shindeiru.
how?
Nunca ouvi falar deste macete...
早すぎるあまりに音を置いてけぼりにしてて笑った
メガドラ版のTASみたくTYの斬影拳ハメになってるな
What's with the forklift? Lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Shit Fighter" lol
this is what non-Japanese games looked and sounded like
How could a game look so futuristic and advanced while so janky and crappy at the same time?
By being Atari Games
Seriously, a lot of their 1989-1992 output was like this lol
Their 1984-1988 games were much more polished though
@@hawaiidkw1 hah, not exactly. I loved Star Fox and still have my original cart. Virtua fighter looked great because they worked within the limitations of the hardware. Part of what made Mortal Kombat 2 look soo good back in the day is they redrew all of the sprites by hand to make it consistent through out the game. Pit fighter feels like the developers went "Ehh, it's got digitized sprites... that's good enough..." (Though, to be fair to the devs, making hardware units with digitzed graphics was insanely hard and they beat MK to the punch.)
@@hawaiidkw1 and yet, back in the day, I couldn't help but drop quarters into games like pit fighter either. I think because for all it's jank, it captured the feel of watching a movie at home, you know?
Like I think a big part of the appeal of Pit Fighter is it had the same aesthetic as a low budget and violent R film. (Just given the technology stack of digitizing actors and NTSC video of the day) It's the kind of game that would pair well with a stack of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan tapes plus a bunch of pizza.
@@etansivad I said Atari Games 1989-1992 output was like this, not everyone's 1989-1992 output.
Compare Atari's Marble Madness, Paperboy, and Super Sprint to their later games like this, ThunderJaws, and Skull & Crossbones
This game is... ummm... interesting to say the least. The controls are pretty spotty, the game balance is broken, and the collision detection is dodgy, but it does have its charm, being a fighter made before Street Fighter 2, when they became more refined after.
Sadly, the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive and Atari Lynx ports went on to be the only good ports of this game. The Master System and Commodore 64 ports are mediocre at best and the SNES, Game Boy, Amiga, Atari ST, ZX Spectrum, and ESPECIALLY the Amstrad CPC port are travesties
Whine all you want but this game was what eventually became Mortal Kombat.
@@sarcasticguy4311 ? Where the hell do you see me "whine"? I even said the game has its charm despite its flaws.
And no, Mortal Kombat was inspired by Data East's Karate Champ (And later on, Street Fighter 2 due to its success). The digitized sprite style was actually something Midway has been practicing on even before Mortal Kombat. See NARC for that
I couldn't imagine anyone could make this game looks ever worse
Plays like me lol
i seriously can't tell if the character moves weird because of the TAS messing around of if the game just looks like that
Oh Noooo!. 😭
I am actually thinking I like this stupid game. It's so Retro. 😂
I bet it only had 2 buttons, Punch and Kick.😄
That's a bug, right???
exploit yeah . its like ryu crough kick spam in street fighter . ai can be exploited with same move under the specific circumstances
@@LordDeBahs They weren't thinking at the time that a one-frame move could be spammed like that. That's why a TAS is so fun.
The only good version of the game...and it was still a button-mashing, frame glitching mess. 🤣
@solarflare9078 I personally didn't like any port of this game. They just couldn't match the overall gritty look and sound of the arcade. Other examples would be N.A.R.C. or Smash TV. But, of course, consoles were limited back then
@@hawaiidkw1 I remember Mace 🤣.
It was like Soul Edge and War Gods had a child.
But yeah, Atari was pretty crappy.
wtf lmao
Man, I love Atari but this game is crap.
何だこのゲームw しかもエンディングひでぇw
This game is broken🤣
Know your video game history.
If it wasn't for Pit Fighter there'd never be a Mortal Kombat.
😂😂🤣🤣lo peor de luchas arcade
I beat the arcade version but the SNES is complete garbage. At least this is tolerable.
random bullshit
Jesus, this is horrid.
Damn, girl at the end wasted no time congratulating 🤣🤣🤣
SHE DOWN BAD, MANE! XD
She knew what was up. Lol
