- Welcome to the Hobby Lobby #yarn #clearance #haul for 2024! This is my third year shopping the sale, and I did not leave disappointed. This year I focused on what I would use and not just what jumped out at me as I have in other years. When you have as much yarn as I do, you need to be careful with how much you bring into your space. I hope you enjoy what I show you and make sure to check out hauls from some other creators. I already finished two hats I will be sure to share once I get pix...1 hat was completed while watching your fabulous haul..now I wish I would have gotten some of the Glowing as 2 colors I do not yet I am sure they will make it to happy yarning hands and home for creation for sure.

Hi! Unfortunately they won’t do a clearance like this in a new store because this is the yarn they will no longer carry. However they always do 30% off yarn every other week.

I really like the Glowing Twilight Sonata. I just imagine a ship at dusk, very nautical. The fancy Sea Glass color looks like unicorn shedding or fairy floss.

Dude. That is a super impressive haul.
I just spent about $95 on 8 funko pops. Which is a great price per funko in general, plus I really love them all.
I still have display room, so it’s not a problem. Probably not.

Love your yarn haul, Claire! I've been teaching myself crochet and recently got 48 pin sentro, just made my first hat and 2 different ear warmers.....they aren't perfect, but for the first try, they are defo wearable lol I'm sitting here in sunny Scotland attempting my 2nd hat and watching your hail a 2nd time! I love all your bargains and taking notes to search some online xxx

I started thrifting sweaters to unwind for yarn.
I got 2 sweaters for $4, midway through unwinding the second one but i got 234g of 2 ply cotton from the first sweater! The second one is a royal blue linen/viscose blend and im excited to see how much I get from this one! Its definitely a labor of love but kinda meditative too! Lol

There are some very VERY pretty yarns in there. I loooved the autumn colored one (forgot the name). And the neon colored one will be gone in seconds when you put that in your shop as a hat and/or a scarf
i tried to pick things i thought would sell so thank you for your support - for example pale pink things sit in my shop for ages
I still like that 90s colors hat you had in your shop, wish I would’ve grabbed it

I’m glad to be feeling better too! Crochet swimwear is a thing! A market bag is like what you would bring to the farmers market to put veggies in

I guess that's like a reusable bag, but for veggies? I don't usually go to farmer's markets. 😅 I probably should find one... produce are so expensive in the grocery stores.

Beautiful selection Claire! I did a unplanned stop at mine and posted a two part video - the first is just a short intro. I was shocked to see how much stock they had plus I found a few orange tags. Wish I could have gotten some, maybe next year ❤
I got a chance to watch thanks for pointing me to your video. From what I could see almost all of the clearance had already been sold at your location. That is what it was like at the first location I went to they didn’t have much left. Great video.

The Hobby Lobby 's here in central Ohio didn't mark very much yarn down.

I tried crocheting with the comfy classic with the nylon and spandex and I didn’t enjoy it. I’m still learning and wanted to try a stretchy yarn and for $1 why not. Finding the right tension to use was hard for me sooo that got frogged and tossed into a bag 🤭

I dont care for HL but i do enjoy their yarn and I usually always save up for this sale. IDK what was in the heads of the managers in my area but they kept trying to gaslight me into thinking that they've "never done that sale and will never do it." They did end up starting it last week but i was just so salty by the shtty way the staff where and decided that Joanns 25% off the red sticker clearance and their yarn sale was more worth it. SO i dumped all my yarn money into Joanns. Hopefully next year the staff wont be so shtty to me. Sucks bec i used to work at HL and the ones in California are REALLY nice, Ig ppl on the east coast are just not as friendly to customer service. (iv heard bad stuff abt the Joanns CS as well but iv never personally delt with them so i cant say) I hate this coast the more i live here!
Thank you for sharing this! I’ve heard a wide range of stories about how the employees react to this sale. Everything from “just call and ask they are so nice” to the gaslighting and “we would never do that and we won’t do that” that you are describing. I’ve said the story before but one year I was there and they were marking yarn down and someone called to (I’m assuming) ask about the clearance and the lady straight up said no yarn is on sale right now. So yeah totally a mixed bag so I don’t blame you. I did shop the Joanne’s sale but it was before the extra 25% off. They had so much marked down right? I got scarfie and those ombré caron cakes. 🎂

How do you know when they have these sales?
Its tricky. You have to check randomly in June and look for orange price stickers on the yarn in the regular yarn isle. They dont advertise it and store employees dont know about it until they get the notice to start marking.
A tip is to look for the shelves that have a D marked on it (for discontinued)
Hi there, usually they do the sale in June, but every store will put the sale up at different times. So you need to check the store regularly during the month. Sometimes if you call and ask for the yarn department and ask them they will tell you, but not all the time.
