    If you replace the stock esc on the fcx24, not that it’s bad or anything, love them, but with a dinky or furitek on 3s, the stock powerdash will start crazy slow with plenty of torque!!! You’re know I’m all about that brushed feel! Great show and breakdown.

      Like you said, with practice, the brushless can be gotten used to but typically for me, the slow is far too slow and FOC literally takes all feel out of the trigger by definition. I like it for a change and bashing around but for savage slow crawling and tricks, I love the brushed feel!!! Thanks again, brother.

      Yes I want to get another Lizard pro esc for testing some brushed setups on 3s!

    Can you do a complete breakdown of what you have in the brushless setup like part numbers the type of controller/electronics I’m getting ready to build my first 1/24 and have no idea what to look up but love the slow crawling yours is doing I’d really appreciate all the help I have the injora rock buggy kit so far but I need everything else just don’t wanna waste money ordering the wrong kind of stuff

      If I get a chance on the weekend I'll try to put something together for you! Time is tight and I've got lots of projects in the the works so I'll see how I go!

      @@havikhobbies ok thank you for you’re time if you can I really appreciate it looking forward to getting this build underway just being so new to the game I’m struggling finding what I’m looking for but this is damn near perfect for what I’m looking at

    Thank you for the test and sharing all these informations. I'm more of the brushed kind, it fits the jobs my cars have to do. I'm thinking about a brushless system. But for budget reasons and other projects in the waiting line, this'll come later

    • @havikhobbies

      Thanks for watching! If you couldn't tell from the video, I'm kind of a brushed motor fan! Brushless is cool and gives a much wider range of speeds than a typical brushed setup. The point of this video was to show there is more than one way to go incredibly slow, and one way costs alot less than the other!

    I run v2 electronics with holms hobby brushed motors in all my rigs I'm sure the brushless is better but hey I still have 500 in my pocket lol

    • @DurpVonFronz
      @DurpVonFronz Před rokem

      There is that, but once your rig hits a lbs or so your just going to burn up motors like crazy. I can run my brushless for hours without any issue like that and its at least 5x more power.

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  Před rokem

      All my other trucks besides the Slayer are running brushed motors of various types at the moment. I love driving all of them! I don't have any less fun with a brushed motor than I do with the brushless system. Whatever gets you out on the rocks and having fun is the right option! Thanks for watching!

  • @DurpVonFronz

      @@havikhobbies testing? Just watch a few vids of how slow they can crawl. its not even close comparison. Its a night and day diff, and then you get about 5x the power as well.

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  Před rokem +1

      Yes testing! Wait a second, Didn't I just show a brushless rig doing its slow crawl thing in the video? I agree both systems are totally different, however I disagree that one is hands down better than the other! Both have their merits for different reasons!

    • @DurpVonFronz

      @@havikhobbies I just went and checked out my brushless JLU and its about 10x slower then yours here that you show. and it rolled right up and over boxcutter like nothing at that speed, brushed just cant do that, gets way too jumpy and or loses all its power. Dont get me wrong either as I run 2 rigs with brushless and 2 without, the 2 with are 1000x's better at what they do, superior control and are just much more fun to use because of that. But this vid is called Which will crawl slowest. Brushless hands down, night and day. I can even make a vid showing it if you like. took over 1min to go 10cm.

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  Před rokem

      It's all good man, If your JLU is slower than both of the rigs in this video, thats fantastic! I just wanted to play slow trucks too! Keep up the great work dude, Thanks for watching!

    Great comparison between two different approaches. I’m curious about the cost difference between the two complete systems. I run a Castle sensored brushless on my 1/10 scale, but have been using brushed on my 1/24 with just stock electronics. Looking at the MoFo SMP and Furitek Lizard now for one of my builds that I am just starting.

    • @havikhobbies
      @havikhobbies  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for hanging out! If you stick with stock electronics and just upgrade the brushed motor it's very cheap. Upgrading the ESC and adding an aftermarket Transmitter/receiver obviously pushes the costs up significantly!
