    These jackets are a staple of iconic fashion! They're timeless, classic and will never go out of style. Very popular among street wear and east coast hip hop fashion trends!

    I have an Alpha from 1987 and a Sew-Sew Styles in OG-107 from 88. Great jackets for windy conditions.

    Great channel, great videos! Just got two M65 in woodland: one beautiful Winfield 83 with brass zipper, and one gorgeous John Ownbey 84 with the two brass zippers. The latter is a little beat up, but both look look great.

    Есть Альфа 82-го года, отличный контракт, ранний оттенок вудлэнда радует, больше яркого зелёного, чем коричневого цвета, латунные молнии интереснее пластиковых. Очень хорошая куртка. А теперь и известны контракты по порядку. Интересно как всегда. Спасибо за видео!

    Sometimes the M81 Woodland is really bright, sometimes really dark are these two patterns summer / winter or is that just a variation due to Manufacturing Process ? I had a 1982 Golden Mfg. XSR with scoville brass zippers and the color was pretty dark

    I have a woodland m65 with an aluminum zipper and a brass zipper for the hood. The tag is too faded to read. Any idea when it could have been made?

    • @m-65fieldjackets
      @m-65fieldjackets  Před rokem +2

      There were no aluminum zippers on army woodland jackets. Jacket for the commercial market or the zipper was replaced.

      They switched to brass zippers from aluminum around 1972-73 iirc. You can watch this channel's videos to be sure.
      Not sure when they switched from front brass zippers to front YKK plastic zippers, but sometime between 1985 and 1991. I have M65 jackets from those years.

    What does the DLA number stands for ?? My Alpha m65 don't have one?? Is it an original US Army m65 , or is ir a " fake"
    Nice greats from Germany

    • @m-65fieldjackets
      @m-65fieldjackets  Před 7 měsíci +2

      On the original M65 jackets (color OG-107), the line with the year and
      contract number must begin with the letters
      DSA (Defense Supply Agency) 1965-1977
      DLA (Defense Logistic Agency) 1978-93
      The exception is the Defense Personnel Support Center jackets.
      There must be a correct NSN and contract number.
      There is no inner pocket on the lining.
      There should be no inscription "Made in USA",Made in China,"Made in Korea","Made in Egypt of U.S.A. components".and so on
      There are no embroidered (sewn) logos of manufacturers on the original.
      .The last issue of olive, M65 contract jackets
      for the army was in 91 (American Apparel company).

    Sad that the M51 deteriorated to the M65. It was such a sharp looking jacket with metal fasteners and pointed collars. Velcro is cheap and the M65 version just looked sloppy.

    • @simongrushka983
      @simongrushka983 Před rokem +8

      It doesn't have to look sharp, it has to be comfy and practical. Nowadays French army jacket is the closest to m65 but with more modern features
