There is a large contingency of people that may not realize how amazing this set is and that's okay, but for the rest of us???? How a-fuckin-bout this amazing set? I mean it's just exactly what/how house music should be. It brought back so many amazing memories of how much fun this music really is. I about danced myself out of my chair at the office today and if I bobbed my head any harder I would have hurt myself! 100 salutes to Armand & JackMaster and to the Boiler Room for bringing this brilliance into the world!
Armand is a legend. He is one of the best House producers, DJ’s of the 90’s and early 2000’s. His bass lines, horns and grooves have always been funky as hell. We need more of Armand, his real drops and real House Music today. I remember dancing to all of these songs in the NYC club heyday of the 90’s (Palladium, Tunnel, Twilo, Factory, Roxy, Club USA, World, LQ and many more places. Real House Music lives on.
Dude, this isn't anywhere near what I would call "real House Music"! I actually hate the term! When i first saw this guy on a flyer for an event at Smartbar, i was like, "wtf?".. growing up in chicago I thought there was only 1 jackmaster, but this dude can totally rock a crowd. Im impressed by the track selection but mostly by the way he puts on a show. So glad djs are bringing back this funky filter sound from the 90s to early 2000s. It really reminds me of a time when raves were headlined by Armand Van Helden, Bad Boy Bill, Dj Dan, Terry Mullan

Just about every single one of my favourite dance tunes in this set,!!! Even a bit of 'ol Bazzer thrown in,.. Well done, lads,..I'm dancing in the rain,!!!!!!!!
this brings back so many memories because he's referencing so much of house music's classic titles. In NYC in the nineties I used to go to sound factory and Twilo and AVH would play there every once in a while. AVH is one of the few NY DJs who actually conveys that NYC vibe in the music, even though it has some chicago influences in it Van Helden IS NYC in terms of big-room, bangin' house music that New Yorkers like. Love Van Helden and so glad he's stayed the course 25 years on. Well done!
Reminds me back in the dayz started partying in 1996 especially Arena dayz all ages Friday night in Hollywood when Dj Irene & Richard Humpty vision & Bad boy bill & and the Dj's from UC. I miss those dayz
Really really good set! A lot of classics! We can feel that they really knows what they are doing and they did it well! Nice transitions, mixing some really famous song that makes people happy! To see them enjoying like this is so cool! Good job guys, Armand van Helden is a classic for some reasons ;) My my myyyy !
I've watched other Boiler Room presentations on CZcams, but this pair is a knockout for any nightclub. Perfect setlists, perfect turns and, above all, excellent DJs... Jackmaster is very focused... Armand Van Helden is a living legend... This duo has to tour to bring down nightclubs in the world... Please start with Brazil, I'll go... Great! This presentation can already be considered a great house music classic.
This is why if you ask me How made me as a DJ I will always say Armand Van Helden...I worked at his resident night in Boston and looked up to this guy for sooooo long. And now watching him spin brings back so much memories. From my first time spinning in a Club called Karma in Boston the old (Venus De Milo) so blessed. Thank you Armand.
Proper djing, playing for the crowd. No pre mix sets like some Djs doing the festival circuit. Boiler room always bring the best and this is top drawer. Foot stomping feel good house, you could listen to this over and over. Oh and Pete Heller Big Love, ultimate pick me up 😉
Two thumbs up for playing The Morning After, such a rocking tune, and for the record, the first time I`ve heard anyone else but me rocking it! Cool set all the way!
Armand seems like a pretty solid dude. Between giving Jackmaster props multiple times in this awesome set, he's always been supportive of new artists in interviews. He seems like one of the few genuine DJ's. Love his Nervous records tank top too. First DJ records I bought were by Nervous.
I knew armand when he was first starting out as a d.j at the loft in Boston back in the early 90s. he dedicated a song to one of the dance crews that came out of the loft called the circle children.
Gonna be rocking most of these jams at the hydrotechnics festival this July in afton NY. Gonna let t new and old school feel the beats that are so true and beautiful. Something to be said about this era of house music. Bringing back to the new and old school proper like!!
This gave me all the feels. Grew up listening to these jams on the radio as a teen. Omg thank you. Still recall most of the tracks played, not bad for a old fart by now lol.
These choooones vibrated as far as South Africa back in the day. Long house parties, cops pestering the 48 hour weekend marathons. I might be old, but I partied with more soul than most people these days. Armand / Jackmaster - salute o7 Legends 2kx
Old school Chicago House Music Classic!! What I was born and raised on, Amen! Special gift right here for anyone who can remember, survived, and still rockin the vibe. Peace love unity respect, that’s what’s up baby!
Anyone here in 2024 hunting for tunes???
