Honestly even though I can watch anything for free, I grow weary of many movies. I haven't watched a TV show since Power ended, and I haven't been to theater since Sonic. I think the last movie I watched was Highlander, and that was last year.

Henry Cavill is the best superman ever. He captured the complexities and the weight of being Superman in the 21st century with his acting.
Even if they found an actor as suitable for the role as Christopher Reeve I would never watch a Superman movie with the name attached to JJ Abrams.

This has me really puzzled, DC Comics is owned by Time/Warner, which is owned by AT&T. Now AT&T was in the news yesterday for selling off 30% of its video entertainment division (Direct TV and ATA&T TV Services) for 1.8 billion dollars. The newly form join company is valued at $16.25 billion but has $6.4 billion in debt. The 1.8 billion was going to be used to pay down debit (Wall Street Journal, Friday Feb 26, 2021). So, how are they spinning a movie that nobody is asking for on the tail of a pandemic, where people might not even go to theaters?

This is what i dont get though. They lose the fans, which makes up a large portion of the audience. Im guessing even fans who are black wouldn't like this. Im a white dude and wouldn't go see a Blade movie if they replaced Wesley Snipes with some white actor. Youre probably right though. This type of material isnt geek culture anymore. Its designed for the widest audience possible. Like Disney star wars and Terminator dark fate were designed to try and attract the female audience and not just the male audience. But both ended up pushing the male audience and the true fans of the original material away.
There's nothing like watching the classics with our kids and seeing them having the same reactions we had back in the day. We'll always have the classics.
If something good comes out today, go sail the high seas with your kids as well. Spend time and money with them instead of helping those who don't deserve it.

Also when Superman came out it helped people during a tough time. It provided hope and way more unity then our politics could ever do. It would be cool if they did have some more blacks, but I don't like stunt casting either. Green Lantern had a black villain, also a green lantern, but those movies don't do real well. It seems Marvel had the most non-white heroes and villains. DC needs to be creative if they want more diversity.

@@crozraven He's a terrible director. His action scenes are nearly unwatchable, he abuses slow mo, the pacing of his movies is trash, he doesn't get much of anything out of his actors. His movies are also generally awful looking as well. Warner Brothers have given him plenty.

I watched the Superman & Lois pilot on Friday and based on the recent stuff coming out of the CW I wasn't expecting much! I actually really enjoyed it and will give the rest of the series a chance but if it goes all CW on us then I'm happy to abandon it.

What I wanna honestly know is what happened to the people running the major studios being business savvy? I’m saying this as someone who’s a director and a producer. As a producer you need to think and strategize as a business person not an artist. You need to get the job done for the lowest cost in the highest market value. Like how is someone at those studios not seeing how terrible JJ Abrams projects are received how much barely money they bring in. It makes like no sense. It would be like in a normal business that’s not entertainment if the manager of the business ran the company in debt got fired from that company and then I ran three other companies into debt. I’m pretty sure at that point no one will hire him to manage their office.
