Honda Elevate Asli Mileage Test & Comfort | AutoYogi

- So we drove the new Honda Elevate for about 150 odd KMs to check its real mileage and its seating comfort in all sorts of conditions. Our drive included 70% highway and 30% city. We drove the Elevate CVT which has the same powertrain as the Honda City, but the gear ratios for Elevate are very different to suit its use case. The suspension tuning is also different since it's a different body style and the centre of gravity is much much higher on the Elevate vis-a-vis City. This one has the segment leading ground clearance of 220mm.

Happy Independence Day everyone. I know thoda sa jaldi hai par celebration 2-3 din chalna chahiye 😅❤️
Don't you think that first auto cut to first auto cut would be a better method to check the tank to tank mileage??
Bhai, except ventilated seats, Baaki sab jor- jabbardasti aap khoj Rahe the disadvantages ka "steering premium nahi, screen same diya" etc etc.. 😂😂😂😝😝😝😝
Honda hai Honda.

Pls let us know are they planning for hybrid engine also?

I think you are spot on with this pricing will be deciding factor for honda elevate
जापानी कार का डिजाइन 10 के बाद भी पुराना नहीं लगता। 👍
The design has definitely grown on me, it looks more suv than Seltos or Kushaq
I don’t think so
@@hareeshreddy3690 bad joke
Even Nexon looks more SUV compared to Kushaq 😂
@@MotorHead9Not from back yes from front looks
Ya bhiya especially kushaq se😅
Had worked as QE with Hyundai n Kia for almost 10yrs and can confidently tell how badly designed and unsafe cars they make for Indian market. They don’t even come close to EU standards. Atleast Honda has got that reliability and quality assurance since years with great build quality and globally consistent chassis.
How well did this comment age?
@namann1209 It's aging really well. iVTec is well tested, proven & world renowned reliable engine.
Nice. I currently own a city, can confirm that the engine gets noticeably better at the efficiency numbers once its done 8k-10k which means this too is likely to be the same👍
I'm already driving a Honda Jazz 2017 cng getting 30 kpl* mileage n 16 in heavy traffic. will buy the Elevate soon 🎉🎉.
No way! Using 15 Jazz SVMT… Pamper its accelerator paddle and it returns not more than 17-18… and once u start enjoying its refined powertrain, figure drops to 10-11kmpl
If you are looking for refinement go straight to HONDA showeoom!
It neither gives performance nor good fuel efficiency!
Honda is capable of making class leading cars in each segment, somehow they lost their way during 2014-15 time period. Heavy cost cutting, too many vehicles in Amaze platform damaged their brand image in India. Good to see them back with their best work...
The Elevate has kept things simple yet effective when it comes to features, focusing on what’s really important. It doesn’t clutter the mind with unnecessary tech but gives you useful, practical features that enhance the driving experience.
What really sets the Elevate apart is its familiar powertrain borrowed from the Honda City but with gear ratios modified to suit its unique use case. This powertrain is already proven in the Indian market, ensuring it will deliver a smooth and reliable performance.
The key to Honda Elevate’s success in conquering the Indian market, of course, would be the pricing strategy. If Honda can hit that sweet spot where quality meets affordability, there’s no stopping the Elevate from ruling the roost.
As a fan of Honda’s reliable vehicles, I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing how the Elevate fares in our market. It has all the potential to outshine its rivals and become the new favourite amongst Indian consumers.
I really enjoyed the review from the back seat. It did show how practical the car is.
Very nice review. Keep up the good job!
Really liked the way you have presented your opinion .
Ventilated seats is a big miss.
Iam a fan of Honda as well, I use the Honda City Diesel V model. It is a very good vehicle, I mean the city, but unfortunately very unsuitable for the bad indian roads especially in Kerala, with its low ground clearance. This is a problem with many sedans, but with the Honda City, the problem is even more, because it has one of the lowest ground clearance in the segment. Even a small pothole suddenly while driving on an N H as it happens often in Kerala, at a reasonable speed will spell doom for vehicle. The Elevate seems to be a panacea for Honda enthusiasts like me, especially as far as the ground clearance aspect is concerned.
Nect, Honda always seems to have the habit of hitting the bulls eye as far as the requirements and expectations of customers are comcerned. For a long time they stubbornly persisted with the petrol variant, which is a stupendous vehicle as far as the quality of the engine is concerned, when the demand for diesel was evident. And, finally when the diesel variant was introduced, many Honda loyalists who found the petrol unaffordable had shifted to the diesel variants of other brands, which in effect prevented Honda from making inroads into the market share.
Next, when the demand was slowly shifting to SUV's or rather crossovers less than 4500 mm, they stubbornly persisted with City, which helped Hyundai to eat into the segment with ease with their Creta. After a long time, Honda brought in Mobilio based on Brio platform which did not stand a competition to the Creta, because it was more of a elongated hatchback than a cross over or a compact SUV above 4 metres. Then they brought in BRV also on the Brio platform which also went into history books without much of a problem. Finally they brought in the WRV again a compact crossover below 4 mts which looked good, but by then the market share of the compact SUV below 4 mts was fully eaten up by the Suzuki Brezza. On top of that the WRV did not have a diesel automatic option which hastened its downfall.
Now the Elevate seems to be on the WRV line, as Honda has stubbornly persisted with a petrol option only when a pure hybrid or a smart hybrid option in addition to pure petrol would have helped them to eat into the market share of the Hyryder and Grand Vitara which as expected of Honda's stubborn thinking never happened. It would be a miracle if Elevate survives considering it to offer the lowest mileage in the class. But Honda seems to have clearly gone the wrong route, and even if they introduce the Electric version, it would be costed really high and would hardly make impact. A Hybrid option reasonably priced would be the better bet, but Honda even if they introduce it, will do so only when the time is up and as expected will die a sudden death. It would be a miracle if Honda Elevate survives with sales touching reasonable numbers especially with the stiff competition and many players vying for the market share. If Honda Elevate dies the way Mobilio and BRV died, it would surely point out to the illogical thinking of Hond's market analysts than the vehicle's fault per se.
Good to see a perfect and genuine review. Aise hota hai review. Bira darre. Bina kuch soche. Thanks.
Yesterday , I went to service my city and came across elevate , the car is so premium all LeD setup in all the models , car is so premium both interior and exterior , only thing is it needs more engine option
This looks amazing and mature by design..
20:05 is final
Amazing content as always..!!!
I enjoy your videos - for the quality of the information, honest feedback and the way you put it. I would have appreciated if Honda Elevate had offered (in the top trim) front parking sensors as a minimum considering city driving and parking conditions. Forget other features that are missing including front ventilated seats and surround camera system, front parking camera is a key feature miss for me for sure.
Am a honda city owner & definitely going to buy this as waiting since long for SUV which has same quality like city…yes one expectation is that interior could have been move better
Honda (maybe 4 years late!) has dropped a BOMB in this segment with ELEVATE!! Ever green design, time tested rev happy engine.. Most practical SUV this for sure
This car feels so minimalist which nails the basics
Very nice and honest review.. very well explained as well.. thanks for the effort!
To be true this is best looking SUV I have ever seen love with this ❤❤
I m in love with this car. I m not into other cars which try to overdo things rather than basics.
I'm just skeptical about it's power figures
Actually 😊😊
No unnecessary features. Good car but the price is definitely a concern for this kind of offering. Nice video

As always good review. The real thrill of the I Vtec engine feels after 10k kms. Then it opens fully...

Nice video. How is the Honda CVT transmission, reliability and maintenance wise?
Now I have Jazz D... Deliver 30kmph consistently on highway... This will be definitely my next change
Surprised many popular cars like CRV,CIVIC are discontinued.
Even JAZZ, BRV, BRIO should have been continued by doing some changes , face lift versions based on feedback of customers.
Honda also need to continuosly educate the buyers the benefits of these cars- Longevity, refinement , comfort etc.
Top models like crv, civic are discontinued in India, as here there seems to be no market for quality products, in India only value for money, fancy features etc. sell.
Honda's top models are doing wonders in developed markets like the US, Japan, Malaysia, Australia etc.
@@hirakmohanray667it’s obvious isn’t it. We already pay too much for cars and that too being a poor country. So how can the masses look for anything other than VFM. The Jazz deserved to fail from the word go…outlandish pricing in the initial years
12 in city 14 in highway
Love that , honda is doing great job and not making feature car
It will be good to hear a clear good and bad opinion about the AC.
Just a small feedback: the footage inside the cabin is very bumpy, so you may want to buy a better OIS-enabled camera that can balance the jerks of the bumpy ride.
Im 6.1 and feels more comfortable in elevate than creta or kushaq on the back seat . Im cluster phobic however feels open at back with 2 person including me .
Great work elevate.
Practically in cities like Bangalore you can expect around 10-11kmpl that's what I get in city .
In Highway if you drive at 90-110kmph you can get around 18-20kmpl .
CVT or Manual ?

Creta and Seltos look big and bulky, Elevate looks big and attractive. Ground clearance is outstanding in Elevate and space and drive quality seem to be similar to Honda standard. If they price it slightly less than Creta, then they will capture the market. Indians are price conscious buyers, they may not shell out a premium for Honda.
launch this for 11.5-11.7L as base variant, keep most of the stuff. And then elevate as the price go up. Thats the only way people will notice it.
But knowing their small car like Jazz was overpriced, I think this one will start at 14.5-15L and if so then Creta/ Seltos become the obvious better.
Pricing is the game, which Honda never got right in India.
Is Amaze VFM?
@@Vikrum_Amaze is very good car . Only if features are your priority then Aura is better.

Beautiful car
My 20 year old 1Gen Honda City also gives the same mileage in the city but gives 19 to 20 kmpl on the highway. Honda should have given a hybrid in India.
before complaining about the features, we should also compare the rate with other cars in the same segment.
Nice presentation.
@autoyogi - I stay in NCR and you would know that it can have very long Jams on NH8 in case some breakdown happens. Still the car is able to give me 15.4 kmpl overall (Trip A) and in short runs (petrol fill to petrol fill) which is Trip B, it has varied from 17 to 14 KMPL. I have already clocked 7000+ kms. So hoping that it will improve post 3rd service (10K KM). Not to forget, once I was driving early morning when the traffic was very less on NH8, and it actually gave 25KMPL for 16Kms drive.
True handling and stability makes a lot of difference in term of safety.
And the design is actually quite good, atleast all like all the japnese pseudo suvs design.
Good morning Sir,
Which one to choose among elevate and Taigun (1 litre turbo ).
Thanks
Honda Elevate vs Grand Vitara? Which one favourite of ICN
During Overtaking and During driving ln hill terrain is there any lag? How about safety when compared to VW, Skoda, Tata and Mahindra
Why they not provide hybrid..? Like Toyota... waiting for Toyota Raize... will it come to India

Overall very good to see, the overall space and design.....features are good to go and not disappointing....I am excited to know the pricing...I drive WRV and eagerly await the price , if the manual top end comes around 15 lacs , then I am good to go...
Might come around 17.8 on road keeping the margin difference for city as well.

1.3L more for CVT
Honda is a maestro of all other... A perfect SUV look
Honda must come up with hybrid in this product.
It could be a leader in it’s segment then.
I just need to know how are the headlights of this car and if Honda could have given all 4 Power windows auto up and down
Sir can you suggest me..
I am confused between altroz xm plus CNG and tigor xm cng..
Can you suggest me which one is better to buy
I have been a proud owner of honda City since April 2019. A legendary car in the mid segment. A valve for money car too. During servicing my car I watched the elevate and as per my opinion it is a realistic SUV. Given all necessary features at this price point. If it offered more features then price was higher then again people started criticised for a higher price. Honda tried to balance the price and features. Don't compare it with Maruti and Kiya because they are not on par with the engineering offered by Honda.
I think only Honda car users can realise it. Once you own a Honda car it is difficult to leave honda at least within 20 lakh segment
Those features will be adding in facelift variant
Nice car . Honda needs to bring the new Jazz to Indian market as a premium hatchback
I have amaze 2014 , plaining to upgrade
Tell me about cruze controls system in these car

Usually people who buy Honda cars are not very price sensitive and expect premium experience from honda and ready to pay for it. They should have made interiors rich like Astor even pricing is 1 or 2L more.
Pls do drive review of New Kia a seltos ivt version. Pls. When will it be possible ??
This time Honda Amazed us❤😅
My WRV petrol BS6 1.2 also have the same look and feel, engine rpm and noise on high rpms, 1.5 engine doesn't have a wow factor
Does the milege improve after first service?
Why does the elevate engine make more noise than the city engine?
Both 1.5 ivtec.
Is it because of the tuning?
Guys you must go and see the elevate in person. It really looks huge and very masculine.
For me this car is way better than kia and creta simple and gives everything that you need

Which one you suggest?
Kushaq style 1.0 tsi (TC)

Strange considering City ZX variant comes with Leather upholstery instead of Leatherette which I think is better for humid condition like in India as they are more breathable.
I don't think it is real leather.
