I'm not usually into acoustic versions of songs but this is good
This mix is mysterious. I can't tell whose vocals I'm focusing on at times because they seem to phase in and out. I love it. This is the tone and effect I come to Mastodon for.
Bottrill, their producer for this record, is a beast.
Sounds like at least four vocal tracks on the chorus. Most prominent is Brann and Brent doubling the melody, but there's a counter harmony and another one following that too. Really cool
Best Band of the 21st Century. No Contest. Nobody else even comes close.

Beautiful rendition of what's probably my favorite track of the album! Great to hear how much thought went into this version, more than just removing distortion. It really changes the feel of certain parts (e.g. intro, bridge, solo) while still preserving the overall vibe of the song, awesome job! GODS I hope I get to see you live some day...

@@jinsakai9729 yes they should! What prevented them at first is their heavier sound and Troy's gruff sounding vocals but also the fact they do not have a handsome singer to market to a mass audience. If a guy like let's say Layne Staley was Mastodon's singer....forget it. They would be HUGE
