I toured Avery in 2017. Spent the day in the rain walking among the stones. Had lunch in the Red Lion. Bought 2 books. Grand time.

I enjoyed that! Makes a person ponder the technical skills of the builders, the hows and whys. Were they (rocks, not builders) really giant astronomical thingies as often suggested, calendars and/or calculators?
At least the constructors didn't have to file endless application forms and oodles of drawings on extruplicated forms. Or did they? Brrrr.
