The mythological trickster figures are most at home on the road or at the twilight edge of town. They are the consummate (and sacred) boundary-crossers, slipping through keyholes, breaching walls, subverting defense systems. Always out to satisfy their inordinate appetites, lying, cheating, and stealing, tricksters are a great bother to have around, but paradoxically they are also indispensable heroes of culture. In North America, Coyote taught the race how to catch salmon, sing, and shoot arrows. In West Africa, Eshu introduced the art of divination so that suffering humans might know the purposes of heaven. In Greece, Hermes the Thief invented the art of sacrifice, the trick of making fire, and even language itself.
Lewis Hyde's lecture on the art of the trickster focuses on how, in mythology, these figures play with the joints of creation, sometimes destroying settled life by disjointing it entirely but more often keeping the world lively by moving its joints around or simply lubricating them. Hyde reads the trickster myths as portraits of the disruptive side of human imagination and uses them to help us understand the creative work of more modern figures as diverse as Frederick Douglass, Allen Ginsberg, Marcel Duchamp, and John Cage.
Mythologist and storyteller Dr. Martin Shaw alongside with Lewis tells stories of Wolverine, Fox and any number of shameless denizens of sacred disruption. Filled with humour and dynamism, these tales stretch from the very creation of the earth to something that happened on the way to work this morning.
This was a fun watch, great opening story 🙏 trickster the master of boundaries. Boundary creation, boundary crossing, boundary breaking, boundary moving, loophole finding, but extremely legalistic the kind of guy who says "well TECHNICALLY it's allowed"
It puts you into a state where nothing matters in a good way. You truly don't give a shit about anything and you're just happy as fuck as a result, because nothing matters. Nothing matters, nothing means anything, there's nothing to do, there's no point, there's no goal but there's also no boredom, there's no negative meanings attached to the meaninglessness, it's just perfectly meaningless and it's awesome. You're basically just like sitting like a cat on a windowsill enjoying whatever experience is before it, just being and it feels amazing. 🦄

One of the things he does is he leaves major openings, opening himself to attack, then comes in with a counter attack. He draws attention where he wants to target certain faults, which obscures public attention from other things that could potentially be doing more damage. It is the political science equivalent of the "drunken fist" martial arts style. Scott Adams (who has a lot of takes I don't agree with at all) would point out play-by-play for example of how he was using classical conversational hypnosis field-of-study persuasion techniques in order to build rapport with N.K. when most people were afraid he was going to start a N. war, but ended up historically walking across the DMZ without his security team, with an offer to westernize/modernize/moralize the N. Korean state in a way that could benefit all parties.
You don't do that by accident.
That's not to say I agree with him as I personally believe him to be a con man, more likely working FOR the people pulling the puppet strings of the people he CLAIMS to be against. Now just like those with TDS don't think you can say anything positive about the man whatsoever, his biggest fans don't want to look into that obvious evidence, either, showing his ties to the very same entities of the worldwide international shadow government structures (unless there is a civil war within their hierarchical structures, which could also be the case, but should not be release for cause of extreme skepticism and suspicion.)
The rest of the politicians are just PRETENDING they are not mean / evil / screwed up... but they clearly are, so the whole social reaction thing seemed kind of unbalanced.
I really don't think anyone truly truly stupid has been able to make it to the presidency, even J. Robinette Biden who, although he clearly is suffering from some form of dementia, must have had some kind of strong intelligence at a time to have the political accumen necessary to climb the ranks and get himself into a position where they'd use him as a talking puppet for this moment in history. The man's IQ was at a time at least above average, even if Obama had said never to underestimate his ability to screw things up lol.
And it's important to realize that by being "mean" or calling things out directly in a HIGHLY inflammitory way that creates powerful emotional charge and reaction tapping into everyone's polarities, this is utilizing attack vectors that prior to his entry into the political arena, there wasn't quite the defenses for. He was a very clever linguistic manipulator, using double binds in his debate with Jeb.
I tested at an IQ of 128 but I've never been able to pull off that kind of linguistic manipulation. It's really short sighted to just write him off as an idiot, even though to be clear I am highly suspicious that he has very hostile intentions. They try to make him look entirely different from guys like Soros and Gates and Claus Schwab, but the increasingly coalescing/concentrating darker powers of this world hide behind many different faces and illusions to maintain their power.
Before it was democrat vs. republican.
A fake game show... but people were waking up to the idea they were really two wings of the same beast.
So the magic trick of Trump is you bring in someone to make it look like he was really against the system...
But before he went out of office he helped them implement a lot of their plans that changed the future for the worse in ways that helped to further concentrate their power structure, but he did so in such a way that his supporters would still support him.
So what do you have?
Increasing structures necessary for increased authoritarianism...
And tribalism and division in the U.S. -- the powers-which-ought-not-to-be have succeeded in keeping the masses divided against one another instead of targeting those pulling the strings, concentrating power which more than doubled the net-worth of the billionaire class during the past two years with their sweeping reforms, shutting down small businesses, etc. This is the sort of thing which, in theory, you'd think the left-wing of the U.S. would be entirely against, but at some point that became a party in favor of increased corporate power.
People (on BOTH sides of the aisle) are trusting the virtue signalling of politicians rather than what they are actually doing

But back to the topic at hand, I must retort that Trump is actually in alignment with the trickster archetype because he does most of what he does with a lot of biting humor--- it's funny because it's the sorts of things that are traditionally unbecoming of a head of state to be so brash and crude and casual. He stood on the edge, and played with the taboos and the boundaries that he had in many ways helped to create, being at one time a central part of mainstream media celebrity culture, entertainment, and advertising ---- at a time when he was very very very accepted by the mainstream including rappers such as Eminem and networks like NBC, etc. Like calling the clearly 98+% white Elizabeth Warren "Pocahontas". Saying he never called Kim Jong Un "short" or "fat" out in the open publicly in his tweets... That's actually sort of clever and hilarious if you can stop frothing at the mouth for like one minute to just let that soak in. It would be just as funny if Biden had said it and he had gotten in the same fight.
But because everyone is paying attention to APPEARANCES of these actors from their own prejudicial perspectives rather than what they are actually doing, in a generation there will be almost no home OWNERS in the U.S. and most Americans will be RENTING from a handful of small corporations with multinational loyalties, against the concern of the welfare of the people living in this land.
Also, as someone who went through all of the source material in context.... he is STILL dog whistling "Q" (who started posting again during this Summer 2022). There are going to be more tricks pulled related to that, I am sure. But I mostly think that is a "psychological disarmament" operation -- i.e. one that takes the hot, red-blooded "patriots" and makes them inactive.
