I have owned the Mazda 6 wagon for a few years and I must agree with everything! I upgraded my sound system, infotainment to android, soundproofing and brakes and the car is an absolute dream, although underpowered. And it’s kodo design, absolutely unmatched for a car designed 10 years back?
Car is well build and isolation is good. It also drive like dream. People only see old infotainment and old desing. Yes infotainment should be better, but exterior and interior is really good looking. In top trim interior is really quality and nice, but u must see it in person to feel that standard.
Nice video bobby....I thank Mazda for not launching comprehensive revised Mazda 6 touring models....both me and my home minister love our 2016 Mazda 6 touring....and fingers crossed will keep it for years to come.... agreed that the stock brakes aren't great, but it can be remedied with braided brake lines upgrade, with performance brake pads upgrades....car is just awesome
agree, and u look at the CX-60 or the new CX-90 the interior is nice, but the instrument cluster is everywhere in my opinion, they should retain this kind of dials on the new CX-60 or CX-90 instead of the flashy kind like the Mazda 3
Hi bro, i’m looking for an estate and currently considering this mazda 6 estate. Currently i’m using a 2018 passat B8. If this mazda drove like my passat B8 in term of handling, NVH & comfort….i might really consider this estate instead of an SUV. Let me know, appreciate it
First thing you will miss the power and space. Handling of the car isn't apparent at first but shines if you come from a RWD car and discovers it's fluidity at high speeds. It doesn't point and shoot like the Passat. It flows and carry speeds but brakes are weaker, power is weaker, torque is weaker than your Passat. Up to you, but I'd recommend if you want an upgrade and looking for a wagon, go Volvo V60 or buy a used RS6 haha
This Mazda drive much better than Passat. If u have chance go for test drive. It is best driving car for that money. I had M6 2017 and it was so good that i bought another M6 2023. In EU we get also digital speedometer. I could buy anything else, but i dont like SUV and need some space so weagon was best for space and handling. And Mazda is well known fot their dream handling. Also this 6 speed gerabox is good and very smooth.Go and try it, u wont regret.
You know, judging by Bobby’s comments on the car, it might not be a bad idea to include a big brake kit, sporty suspension, sporty engine, etc as the available options by Mazda. I bet it might even sell better than its current situation. Imagine being the extremely cheaper option to the extremely expensive Merc-AMG E63S Wagon or M5 touring.
For the price, still using button type keyless entry, tiny screen, no power boot, less cubby spaces, smallest front armrest, 90s speedometer design, etc. Saving cost I guess as already spent for built material quality.
Not everyone is buying cars becouse of big screens and fancy electric boot. Mazda buyers are the ones who knows what means enyoy pure driving experience, not just useless new gadgets.
Yes. The Bose fitted in this car is better than the unbranded stuffs in Accord or Camry etc, but it's nowhere near standard unbranded speakers of Audi, BMW or even Beats fitted to Smart #1 or Harmon Kardons or Bose fitted to German premium cars
All good but lack of power is a shame for a 230k car. Not even 200hp. Bobby says he wont buy a car less than 300hp in case anyone say power does not matter
For what you're getting from both cars, the Volvo feels RM250k more. The Volvo is far more modern, better in every aspect except the fact that it's a plugin hybrid, for long term owners there will be more maintenance related efforts compared to a simple 2.5 naturally aspirated engine.

I had 2020 Mazda 6 with 2.5 turbo. This same body but sedan in U. S. It was awesome. We don't get the 6 anymore Now I have the cx5 with turbo and all-wheel drive Amazing handling and power
Seems like you only have 1 fist of kneeroom left to the front seats. Hardly more space than a G20 320i. Not sure why is Mazda's packaging so bad for such a big dimension car.

A mint 2019 Mazda 6 2.5 can be had for around RM120,000. Added features along the way are relatively pointless for that much increase in price

Still best weagon in its class. Also Bose system is good, its not MB high class system but it is better than in other cars in this value segment.

The 2.5 naturally aspirated is very nice, more suited to the car. When I drove the 2.5T in the CX5, it felt overpowered and underbraked

The 2024 Mazda 6 is an amazing value car for RM130k, not RM230k. What a joke. Might as well sell at RM430k, maybe got ppl buy for prestige.
