this machine is beautiful, remember when the come out,i don't remember the seat being that shiny,i rode two of them in 1966 neighbors owned them, one of them still has it,yours is terrific
I owned a red 66' 305 dream when I lived in Australia. Loved that bike. It was fast ,reliable and fun to ride. Spent many an hour and covered many miles on that beauty....
It was a Dream 305 exactly like this one that hooked me on motorcycle riding. A neighborhood buddy brought his dad’s white 305 to our block and let me take it up and down the street. Game over…I was hooked. As soon as I turned 16 I went to the local Honda dealer bought a used 305 Super Hawk.
Jim. This is a BEAUTIFUL machine ! I am 67 years old from Trinidad. Honda came to our country in the mid-sixties, and I became interested in motorcycles at about 13..... .1969. I am sure the 305 was here, but I never noticed. When I did become interested, 2-strokes were the rage ! I had my share of them for sure. But I remember the plastic-looking Honda bikes. Thank you for posting this. Regards. Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.
Beautiful, almost art Deco. Although heavily inspired by the likes of NSU or Adler, German bikes of the 50's, I did hear somewhere that these were the last designs on which Soichiro Honda himself had a hand in.
I was 16, living in Guam when these came out. I was riding my 2nd motorcycle, a triumph Cub. It was a tired, stripped down 250 dirt bike. I really wanted a chance at that 305. Honda’s reliability was on display that long ago.
Hey thanks for sharing this. It is such a beautiful bike. All-time favorite bike . I have a 250 dream currently for nearly 40 years have not driven it in years. And a 150 dream just bought new tires and tubes recently to get it going. The 250, is the same as a 305 or whatever you call it I believe they were called a 300 dream. Thought it actually said it on the emblem on the tank years ago. And the 305‘s were the two carbureted scrambler‘s and superhawks. Which were also awesome. But the dream has a nicer sound, And different feel. Used to pride myself kickstarting it with one hand that’s how nicely they start. Thanks again for sharing and letting everyone else enjoy stay well have a beautiful day👍
My dad had one nearly identical to this one back in the early 70's. Me and my buddy would go trail riding on it! LOL. It was mint like the one here! Had it for about a year when a close call creeped out my dad while riding it. He sold it. Learned 6 weeks later the new owner wiped out on it, nearly totaling it. Shame.
I remember when I was 5 years old in 1975 my dad had just completed a restoration on the same exact color and cc Honda Dream. What a beautiful bike and wonderful memories. Thank you for posting this video.
My cousin had the Honda 150 in blue, Looked like a smaller version of your lovely bike, I had a black CB77 305 when I was 19, I paid £15, but it had a piston problem and we never managed to get it running right.
Nice classic highly recommend turtle wax brand tire shine I use it on my white walls and a scrub brush and works wonders its in a green spray bottle at Walmart like 5 or six bucks spray let sit on for 5 minutes scrub rinse and those puppies will be as white as snow
I recently bought a CBF 250 it brought me back the feelings of 1980ies after my studies whe I could afford a motor bike / I had also some big bikes but I prefer lighter bikes that a easier to maneuver/ I do a lot of reconnaissance with my motorbike for trips with my road bike (the one where I am thé Motor)
These motor bicycle were a futuristic bike in their day .I had a 61 one bought it in 66 for 19£ needing a small electrical repair as there were no specialists it came as a bargain
2 cool guys in school had 2 they were brothers they peroxided their bangs first had motorcycles first etc have forgotten all bout it till right now have wheel barrells of money now and mom cant say no so I am buying the nicest one out there I am unstoppable in this quest. Unless my wife says no darnett
Hey, if I had wheelbarrels of money, I’d buy A couple of nice ones too! I have over a dozen early 1960s or 1980s primarily Hondas. One is a 64 250 dream basically the same as that one there. Have had it close to 40 years. And another one is a 150 dream. They both would run. Just bought new tires tubes etc. for the 150. Ironically the wheels are the same size. I have had a few of each throughout my life. Some of the best motorcycles ever made. Good luck on your venture. Be safe and have a beautiful day👍
That is a fantastic machine. I have been looking for a 1964 one for years and just got one. need some carbs works but she is a beauty like yours.
That is in fact a dream.... And Im not even a Honda guy. 😊 very nice !

I'm obsessed, I love the shape, it has a slightly super cub, kind of art deco vibe. I need one of my own.
What a gem! Thanks for the memories!

What a dream indeed
Cool, they should bring it back.

Is that idle normal? It sounds like it's only firing on one cylinder half the then pitter patters both at once after a few rotations..
I hope you don’t slide off that seat. 😊

I had one black
Is this bike for sale?
The muffler profile had to be made also rectangular.
Purrty....don't hit the brakes too hard though....looks like you'd slide right over the tank and handlebars.
Lovely bike but they always sound to be running to slow and very cam chainy.

Great pristine example of the ugliest motorcycle Honda ever produced. I remember when they were new, my opinion has not changed.
Agree 100%. Always liked the sportier ones better.
more stylish than all the crotch rockets look alikes being produced now
A DREAM IS REALLY A SUPERCUB ON STEROIDS SAME CHASSIS
