I have been using AirPods since day one. That is over a year! Rumors of AirPods 2 are starting to float around, but I think even without an upgrade, AirPods are one of Apple's best products. Here is my experience after one year!

AirPods are amazing, had mine for over a year too! I will say while I would like a capacitive surface on both for sliding volume adjustments I have to imagine that would add space, eat battery, and get accidentally triggered somewhat easily. Either way Apple definitely needs to figure out some way of volume adjustment!
Overall though great video, that intro was so awesome. Did you superimpose them in post or just perfectly position them for each shot?

I adjust the volume with the crown on my Apple Watch. Super handy.
Get to a point where I am happy with my video after editing...then you post a video and I realize how unpolished mine looks in comparison 😂😂😭. However, not a bad thing. Not only great content, but elevating the platform. Well done.

I also got them when they were first released. I was one of the few people who picked them up from the Pasadena store.
I’ve also experienced the issue when using multiple devices but the thing that drives me crazy is how dirty the case gets. There’s tiny pieces of metal (from the hinge) that won’t rub off (noticed the same markings on yours). Other than that, they’ve worked well.
karausu get a silicone case for them - there’s a lot of cheap options on AliExpress and you won’t have a problem
@@svejarkata a little bit late, but if you haven't found a solution apparently blue sticky tack works well to clean them
the biggest problem for me with them is the lack of volume adjustment other than that i love them and i only got them a few days ago

Something I’d like to add is that the case they come in can easily get dirty and scratched.

I got the AirPods 3 months ago and they are amazing.The only complaint I have is that the inside of the case gets dirty really easily.It’s really hard to clean.But besides that they are perfect.They fit perfectly in my ear.If you have a apple device I recommend it.

This video has been so helpful because I have been on the fence about buying a pair because all of my Apple EarPods are destroyed and don’t work after about 10 months of use. Even though I take the best care of as possible and so this was the exact video I’ve been wanting!

Ive had my AirPods for a few months now and ngl they are one of the best sound experiences I’ve had (other than the new beats with the noise cancellation thing)
AirPods are one of my favorite Apple products. Got them last summer and been using every day since then. Great video!

I’ve had them for 5 months and just like you I use them every single day. Almost every minute of the day too. Everything you mentioned especially about the switching between devices is my main gripe. Phone to watch and vice versa sometimes can be annoying but when it works it wonderful. Good vid man.

Just got the AirPods a week ago and they work so freaking well... just like you explained! Glad to see that your pair have worked for you for over a year! That is amazing!
I've had them almost a year - i have a love hate relationship with them...they dont fit my ears properly, scarf pops them out, pairing is an issue, still wish they were black...but they work well with my phone, the case is good, and they are decent.

I think it's crazy that people expect refreshes on accessories every year now. It's such a gigantic waste of money and just creates more waste - I'm still using my 7 year-old macbook and never understood people who want the best and greatest every year. Good luck with your money in the future.

Just bought some yesterday. Overall I have more pros than cons, but the biggest con I have outweighs the pros. The lack of volume feature really bothers me. It defeats the purpose of them being wireless if you still have to do everything with your phone. I’m torn on it I will keep them or not.

I got mine for 3 days and I have a love hate relationship with them.
I really like them because I can charge one pod at a time while I’m still using the other one. Sometimes if I’m talking on the phone for too long, and I’m running out of juice, I do that without getting disconnected. So that’s really cool. Charging time is pretty fast too.
What I don’t like is that I can’t turn the volume up or down without reaching for my phone. That’s almost a deal breaker. But for now I just put up with it.
I exchanged my PowerBeats because they were super uncomfortable. So I got AirPods. Comfort wise they are awesome.
Sound quality is better on the AirPods, but if you’re a bass-head , Powerbeats truly delivers what you need. Only because they’ve included different tip sizes.
Sound quality while on the phone, it’s probably the same. Bluetooth range seemed to be better on Powerbeats.
Still prefer AirPods over Beats because of the comfort, sound, and the fact that I can use them all day - while charging one at a time, with the fast charging case.
I recommend them.

They just need to add more tap gestures - single tap (play/pause), double-tap (volume up/down), triple-tap (next/previous track). Easy to do with software.

I got them in February and have used them every single day since, they work and are absolutely brilliant. Battery life is perfect as well as charge time, I agree with the multiple device issues and am glad I’m not the only one who thought of sliding the airpods to increase or decrease volume
Can you still hear outside noise when you were them??
I bought mine three days ago and receive them yesterday from Amazon. Given I listen top Brass Music, Big Band Music and other music that has a lot of Brass like Chicago and Blood Sweat and Tears. With this Genre, these AirPods sound GREAT. IMO
I use my $20 headphones everyday too.

Definitely agree about them needing to have volume control on the AirPods themselves. I just bought a pair and brought them back almost exclusively for this reason.

I bought them last week, I have a android and I haven't gone an hour without them in. I use them on the bus, in college, at home in my room and everything in between. The best £140 I've ever spent. Helps a ton with my anxiety when I go out, just pop them in and bang on some tunes.
Every time I consider using another AirPods before I leave, I see a video like this and I end up grabbing them again. 😂
I love them. I have mine since Dec 2017 and currently I am using them with my Note 8, they are just great.

had mine for about 5 months. wishlist for the 2nd generation is:
1. a switch on the case that controls charging capabilities because sometimes i want to put my airpods in it but not charge it.
2. a shorter stem on the bottom, often my airpods get caught on my long hair or jacket hood.
3. a rubber tip to put on the airpods, they would stay in better and help with noise isolation.
4. EASIER to clean! once earwax gets in the mesh part you’re pretty much screwed. it makes them quieter and it’s impossible to clean this small section.

I’ve had my airpods for about 3 months and I haven’t lost charge on them yet the only thing i HATE about airpods is how loose the cap is, I wish the magnet that closes/keeps them closed was stronger, they slipped out of my shirt pocket once and when they hit the floor the case opened and the airpods both went flying is opposite directions and it took me an hour to find them haha

WiL 2K in my country people cannot use earphones while driving, but I don’t know about those single sided earpieces, and AirPods, since they are completely wireless, they don’t block the external sound and I can even wear only one if I want to, I don’t know if I could get fined using them

It is very easy for me to use because of battery life if they run out all I have to is put them into the case and in an hour or two they are charged and I do not have to worry about any cables. I hope that makes sence

They are completely wireless ear buds.. little ear buds that can only hold a certain size speaker... it's common sense they wont sound the best but pretty good
It's a balanced sound. It won't boom and tizz you, which a lot of people seem to think is good sound :)

great review. I am glad you discussed about connecting between devices. That's my only beef with mine. Example, if i'm listening to them through my MacBook and my phone rings, it tries to drop the mac connection and connect to the phone, but it never happens. I end up having to just pull them out of my ears and use the phone and then after the call reconnect them. Other than that, they are excellent.

I use my EarPods daily, and they honestly last many years if you take care of them. They have surprisingly good audio quality, especially for the price. I may need to get a set of AirPods.

My biggest gripe with the AirPod is the Sound quality, it didnt sound all that loud. The BASS was mediocre, I am surprised you said you are happy with them. No Audiophile would like them for their sound. I was thinking about using them to also listen to Music and watch Movies, Videos but doesnt look like they will do the Job all well.

As for me now October 2018 day one purchase the battery is horrible and last only about an hour and a half now
Just purchased my first set of AirPods, believe that they are actually really good for the first generation set. I do also have a pair of Beats X and Beats Solo Wireless 3s and believe of course no base in the audio when listening to music but better believe I will start 100% carrying around these AirPods because them seamlessly work best with my Apple Watch Series 3 and IPhone X

My airpods case got so dirty so quickly, and in some specific spots I can’t get the dust off, there’s like 4 lines of grime that I cannot get rid of, maybe it’s because of the magnets holding the case closed, and the grime is tiny specks of some sort of metal, I could see the same thing on you case in the same exact spots in this video

icedlemontea I think they are very difficult to lose. Once you take them out of your ears there’s literally nowhere else to put them but the case. That’s what I’ve found anyways, and I’m pretty irresponsible when it comes to keeping track of my stuff. Also there’s a find my AirPods feature on the find my iPhone app

icedlemontea ah i should’ve worded that better. If you have an iPhone, your phone comes with the “find my iPhone” app. There’s an option within the app to find your AirPods if they’re misplaced. You can even play a noise to help locate them. I use that quite often when they’re lost on my bed haha (which is everyday)

I love my Airpods the only idea I had to make them better is to add to the charging case, I think it’d be cool if there was buttons on them like on the old iPods that you could use like a remote to change the music, volume, and play/pause
