  • CZcams Shorts are way too short to show you the full story of the Vessi Shoes. So I decided to make a true full video review on these shoes. If you aren't entirely sure if you would like to purchase shoes from them, then watch this video to help make your purchasing decision. At the end of the day, the shoe you choose should be the one you like. Otherwise you'll waste your money.
    I don't get sponsorships or insider news so I don't get these sneakers sent to me. I buy and review them with my own money. This is a good thing cause you know my reviews are straight up honest. I'll tell you like it is. I won't mess about. There is no time to.

    If you're in between sizes you're out of luck. Vessi only offers full sizes... You might need to take out the insole to get the fitting proper. But the trade off is less comfort

    All footwear with a waterproof membrane will be warmer to wear in hot weather. I find Vessis to be significantly cooler than all leather or leather and fabric footwear that also has a waterproof membrane. As far as comfort, the Vessi Weekend sneaker is more cushioned than the Everyday Move shoes (I own both). For me, someone with a large footwear collection, Vessi is my choice for summer days when rain is forecast. Thank you for your review. Best regards.

      I don't have a pair. But my immediate concern is as mentioned; waterproof = air tight, which translates to heat retention. My other question is this. If you walk in water what keeps water from flowing in near the ankles. Are they that tight? And if water does flow in it must stay in due to water tightness. I must be missing something.

    • @stevenroche9874
      @stevenroche9874 Před rokem +6

      @@frankbama3684 Waterproof membrane is not airtight. Water molecules are much larger than air molecules are so the membrane does breathe ( to some extent ). No, you cannot walk in water above the ankles. It would get inside the shoes.

    Great honest review from someone who has had the "cityscapes" for a couple years now. These are THE BEST shoes for keeping your feet dry during low-demand tasks in weather that is not very hot (I'd say anywhere less than 80 degrees Farenheit). Compared to goretex trailrunners I have my feet sweat less but they are still warmer shoes. Perfect for winter EXCEPT alot of vessi's soles are not that grippy in snow. I will be trying the weekends out soon which look to have their grippiest sole.
    I am a car detailer and getting your feet wet while washing a car and working on it all day starts to feel terrible as they day goes on. I keep coming back to vessi because they make a show thats great for going out during the winter and also is comfortable during tasks like washing a car where I don;t want to be wearing expensive trail runners with knobby soles.
    hope this helps some of you as well!

      @@BillyVisuals I have used them for travel for over 3.5 years now, form the beach to the heavy snow in north east South Korea. They have held up amazingly well, so much so that I still wear them, and I just ordered a new pair. Not because I will stop wearing the originals, but because the slipon ones I have are not good for inclines so I needed a pair that will stick to my heel on trails with more incline.

    I have the white weekend shoes and since the first day of wearing them outside, they have NEVER looked as they did out of the box. Even after cleaning they will always have brown tint to them from all the dirt and it will never go back to how they looked out of the box. I'd say if you're going to get them, get a dark color. I have grey Vessi shoes and they still look good after 2 years but the white ones? Never again.

      yeah it is a bit much but I would say the weakpoint of these shoes is their soles are not that supportive or grippy, but overall they are great for winter & water-related applications as long as its not above like 80 degrees F, I would say. I have had the cityscapes for a couple years now. Going to be trying the weekends to see if that sole is alot better as it looks to have the most structure and grip so far.

      @@MarkTrades__ Nice to hear! I have the city scape classic they've been a joy, even through mud puddles still not dirty at all the mud water beads right off. Flexible right out the box, although the front and sides have some wear it hold ups nice I find them a lot more comfortable than my work boots because of how lightweight they are, the fact they conform to my feet and are more breathable. However, I don't wear them to work for the durability aspect. Other than that throughout the seasons as long as you have average weather rainy or sunny and not extreme extreme heat or anything I think they are great!

    I can tell just by seeing a few steps taken in the shoes that they're terrible all around, especially for the price. They have decent looking shoe styles, but that's about it. A $50 pair of skechers will be more comfortable. Over time these shoes will stretch out and become loose, even the non slip on version. The sole is clearly way too stiff and not flexible enough, and probably not anymore durable than a typical pair of shoes, or less durable. They're also priced around the same as a pair of Allbird shoes, with a somewhat similar style. And even Allbird's aren't amazing, but better than these for sure.
    These shoe companies think that by making the price high, people think they're getting something special, but that's not really how it works. The bigger name companies are just generally better because they have the volume and materials to be better. I'd be surprised if these shoes cost more than $5 for the factory to make, while they sell it for $100-$150. I won't support such gluttony. I mean we already know even Nike's best shoes costs dollars to make.
    And forget "vegan" and "carbon neutral" shoes, it's a lie. Even if it wasn't, you have to consider that the more money you pay for something, the more carbon you generate by having to make the money to pay that higher price. So in reality, shoes like these are actually putting out more than twice the carbon of a typical pair of shoes, making them not neutral at all.

      @BillyVisuals  Před 2 lety +1

      I haven't tried them yet but if I were correct about this, I think they used the same type of manufacturing technique which is to put a waterproof lining underneath the knit upper to protect it from water. So maybe if you buy half size up it wouldn't feel as congested and warm? If you buy true to size you should take it the insole, this way you'll give yourself a bit more wiggly room in the shoe for "breathability" . But during winter time if you put in the insole, it will be warm but also pretty tight. If it's too tight, you might give yourself a numb foot
