- The Braves clinch their 10th consecutive division title in this game against the Marlins, October 5th, 2001 at Turner Field in Atlanta, final score 20-3. Aired on TBS with Skip Caray and Joe Simpson commentating on the first half, and Don Sutton and Pete Van Wieren on the last half.
Includes the post-game celebration in the locker room with player interviews, as well as an end-credits-tribute to the staff at TBS with game and player highlights from the season to the tune of Aerosmith's Dream On.
Interviews during the post-game celebration with Tom Glavine, Andruw Jones, Brian Jordan, John Smoltz, Chipper Jones, and Dave Martinez.
Recorded on VHS so the quality is not top notch.

Insane. 9 of the 10 runs in the 1st inning scored with 2 outs.
The biggest reason why Atlanta was able to pull through in the end in 2001 was mainly because they made John Smoltz a bullpen pitcher (their closer) starting in August 2001. He was sensational for the Braves in his limited time as a closer in 2001, which would then be a continuation for his domination as a closer in 2002-2003-2004

What an amazing first inning!
This Braves team, after being able to beat that tough Astros team in the Division Series (well, Astros from 1995-2003 were chokers in big games), this Braves team, no matter how vulnerable it was in 2001, had no business losing the DBACKS in the NLCS, especially so easily in 5 games, after they had tied the series after game 2.
Well Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson owned Atlanta especially Schilling so they were gonna see them twice - but just like when Smoltz lost to Tony Saunders in the 97 NLCS… Maddux losing to Albie Lopez should NOT happen… there’s a video on CZcams where in that game the Braves were up and Chipper made an error, Jesse Garcia threw over the 1B and that lost the game.
