Thanks for such a detailed report! I'm really tempted to try for a burbot this winter once things freeze up if only to add one or two to the list of species I've caught. A whitefish or two or a laker would be bonus.
One thing nice is once the ice caps or freezes over the fish will be a lot shallower. A lot of the fish being caught at these depths are not surviving or are very difficult to release.
