Sorry but I actually don't agree. Watching this I couldn't help but think: this feels forced and like she's vlogging because someone said she had to. It's of course still a great Romee and Laurens, but don't vlog if you're not up for it. Give yourself actual me time and please don't feel like you have to call a shower 'self care.'

FYI, yes your sugar cravings go up as well as hunger when you lack sleep. Ghrelin and leptin are two hormones that regulate your appetite and insulin so you will crave all the carbs and be more hungry when you don't get sleep. Over time your cortisol (another hormone--stress hormone) will increase and that will cause weight gain specifically on the stomach and thighs. Cortisol ist he fight or flight hormone and your body doesn't know you are working out vs. having slept well in weeks vs. being attacked by a bear. So sleep is the most important thing, not workouts, not eating well, sleep. If you can only manage one thing, SLEEP.

I’m really glad you kept your work out appointment! As hard as it is with no sleep and having a new born can make it harder and stressful at times. It’s SO important for you to take care of yourself and do things that make you feel better all around and keep you strong and healthy, mentally and physically! And to keep a little routine of your own.
If you feel better and more fulfilled and rejuvenated you will then be able to give your best to Mint and your family etc... So I hope you never feel “bad” for taking some time for yourself, ever! Hey Romee (if you read this by yourself)! I think that you do a great job with Mint and it will be better with the time. It's hard to get your daily schedule with a baby, because you need to look after her needings at the first thing. But you are a strong person with a great partner at your side and you will find your way to balance Mint, the healthy food and your workouts. Still caring Mint the whole day is a workout, too!

Having a new born is hard Romee, I have been there (and actually will not do it twice), it gets better with time. First 3 months are the hardest. Hang in there 🙌🏻❤️
Agree! It gets so much easier. The life transition of just not being able to do what you need to do, when you need to do it, having to literally plan everything was rough. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but so lovely so soak up all the baby snuggles! (Also won’t do it again. one is enough for me 😂)

I can so relate! My daughter is 10 months now and the first while I just COULDN'T force myself to eat a veggie or workout 😬 lost all motivation, but give it time, veeery slowly it does come back once you can sleep more 💕
