I caught the end of ME and EARL AND THE DYING GIRL on TV one night, I was so moved by this music that I shazamed it.
As time went on and In the evenings, I used to walk my amazingly calm and placid dog, Luther, a white lurcher, whilst listening to the DOTS extended edit on YT.
Around the beginning of January he developed an aggressive cancerous tumour and We had to say goodbye to him, that very same day it was diagnosed so as to save him any suffering.
I was, and still am heartbroken and I well up tears as I type this comment. Perhaps to me it’s even more poignant due to the ultimate ending in the film.
I can see myself from afar, Luther and I slowly walking the long road as I listen to this piece of music, perfect and so much the stuff scenes are made of....thank you Brian Eno and duston thestylus 🐶
RIP Luther, I will always love you and I will always miss you 😢

I read the book before I watched the movie and when I read it I thought "That was a nice story" I didn't really feel a twinge of sadness. But when I saw this movie today for the first time, I cried like I've never cried before. This movie might be one of the few exceptions where it's better than the book.

I never cry. Maybe when im drunk on hard liquor and feeling that old drunk sentimentalness. But the scene when he was standing against the wall, and she saw him, and his movie, that was it. That scene fucking hit me hard. I had to cry so hard! But i did it quiet, so my fiancé did not wake up. She would have had a field day!

I think the irony in her death is that it actually applies to real life. Youre just going through it like watching a movie play itself out and then all of a sudden when you least expect it, even when you are expecting it, everything just lets go. Youre gone. Great film, definitely a classic. I always loved YA films like this.

I'll be honest I was a tad bit disappointed that they didn't at least kiss in the movie but then again I kind of like the movie because they didn't kiss or get romantic, the whole fall in love and make out scene is getting cliche, it's nice to see a film where a guy and girl are just acting like friends but still care about each other.

she is so freaking pretty, why cant she look like this in the film, like wtf, you said she would not die, and i cried myself to sleep, him crying made me cry and crying went all around my room when i watched this film, the part where the were drugged was funny, but when she died got this deeper part of me, it was freaking sad, and im crying right now
