I love being able to cut down a tree that is in your way of your farming. It's very rewarding that's for sure.

Iain Robson I would go crazy with any of the chain saws on the game.
Suggestion: Instead of the frontloader, I would suggest you try the FHL 13 AK. it costs 54k in the forestry section of the shop. it is a trailer that has its own loading arm. Use it like a front loader, but is a little easier for the logs then front loaders are. and it is towed around by a tractor.

I've been logging on that map just to the south of the lumber yard (where the train is on the NW of the map). There is a nice wooded area with some dirt tracks through it which is relatively flat and has tons of huge trees in it.
Also... I found that once I bought the large yellow tree cutter (can't remember the name, one that costs £315,000 or something) you can actually just cut a tree with it, and then don't press any more buttons... just drag the WHOLE TREE to the train yard and get tons of money for it LOL.... also don't forget to send the train off using the (i) icon next to it once you've loaded a few trees in and it'll get you even more money once it leaves the map! :D
There's a Mill Pond at the Train Station, you can actually push the logs into the pond with a tractor. So simply cut down a tree near the Train Station, use your tractor to push the entire tree into it. Then you can buy the fir trees and place it near the train station, continue and you will get a lot of profit.

The single field '38' is next to the Grain Elevator, Instead of going cross country.
From the farm head towards the grain elevator, just before, there is a mud track off to the right, follow that. watch out for the tent!!!. Just beyond the tent is the single field 38.
Also from the farm the quickest way to the Transport company by road is to go to the Grain Elevator, turn left onto the road and head down the hill,
Don't brake to hard!!!!!

PS, read the descriptions under the items in the shop, they give great clues as to what they fit or tractor power required.
I have brought many items in the same way you did with the front loader arms.
But that's what makes it fun...

Love all the episodes so far.. as well as all from 2013. I was (or might still) make a vid about logging on the first day with only having to buy a chainsaw, but i will give you the info. You can make quite a bit of money right away. Just take a tractor up to the lumberyard, cut down the trees surrounding the pond in front of the mill. Push the trees into the pond with your tractor, and 'poof' each tree makes anywhere from 13k to 40k, depending on the size. Theres also a secret way to make more money from logs using the train there.. but ill let you figure that out ;)... cant wait for the next episode!

lol, Stocko just randomly shows up in a person's back yard, chops down their tree dangerously close to their house, and just leaves it there and takes off. xD
Don't pay attention to all the negative comments if they don't like the videos they should just not watch them derping is what makes it fun right thumbs up from me Stocko keep on making them I'll keep watching
Love the chainsaw practice, and all for the logging idea and getting into it more because I think it would exciting to watch, as I would still like to see your farming operation grow as well. Sorry to see the front loader rain on your parade, the front loader is designed to on tractors with what we call loader brackets which is an attachment on the tractor for a loader. And to add to my tip comment I left for you in video #3, really all you need to do to save yourself some money is keep the Stoll front loader and buy a New Holland T4.75 for the Stoll loader which does work on the T4.75 too, the log fork will work on the Stoll and New Holland loaders so no worries there. Even though the game says suitable does not mean they won't work on different tractors equipped to handle front loaders.
I did the exact same thing with the frontloader stocko :P you should get the t4 and the right frontloader for it and run a few trees with the basic trailer you've already got and then buy better equipment for the profits. The logs pay really well so you'rewell compensated for the amount of work you put in :D
I laughed at your use of a chainsaw. LOL You need a little practice, but I'm not perfect either. Nice to see it.
McCulloch is actually an American company from Milwaukee (Mil-Walk-ee) Wisconsin. Back in the day they use to have pretty reliable equipment but in the recent 20 years or so the quality has gone down hill. Husqvarna is from Huskvarna, Sweden, good name in chainsaws as well as lawn mowing equipment. Jonsered was based out of Gothenburg, Sweden but went bankrupt and was bought out by Husqvarna. You can still find brand new tools from them today under the old Jonsered name but its produced by Husqvarna.
Danny or Dan for short has a history of reckless behavior and stuff like; running naked in the streets while intoxicated. He's a young lad, bit rough around the edges, easily distracted by girls while delivering your goods so he might take a bit longer. He has a DUI so he needs to do some community work for a while and you offered to show him the work of an honest laborer. Which might lead to a contract or you get rid of him after a while which is up to you.
Buy the red "Stepa FHL 13 AK" cranetrailer in order to move logs properly. You can pull it behind a tractor instead of in your seedtrailer. Then cut the trees a bit closer to the ground instead of leaving a tall bit of it left.
pressure washers don't come on a pallet you just have to place them on the map, but be careful for each second you use it, it costs £1! also sell one of your smaller tractors and also the plow as they aren't really needed at the moment and could free up some funds
The wooden boiler you pointed out is what is actually used to make charcoal (just aesthetics though in fs15).
when it rains all the mud washes off so cool and the Light house starts up
There is a log transport trailer for about 50000 in the shop that has a crane for lifting logs onto it, and you don't need a front loader for the pressure washer, it's a placable and cant be moved. :)
Call the worker Kevin! And get the logging trailer with crane attachment for 54,000. Much cheaper option than front end loader. great video's stocko, keep it up!
Stocko, field 38 (your third) is behind the grain elevator. It's much easier to go up that road than going the other way
Hey Stocko, Your field 38 is just behind the grain elevator, u can get to it the same way you go to the grain elevator. hope that makes sence.
To get to field 38, drive past the chickens and your house towards the grain elevator and make a right before the elevator. the next worker should be Joe...just saying. Cheers!

cut down the big trees near the lumber yard. Always cut down the trees in the massive dirt areas that look like a forest, you get more money when you bring it to a lumber pool or the train.
why do i get the feeling that this series could end up being 100 episodes of him skipping through the forest cutting trees down as he goes :D

Stockoglaws - You should look into the Jenz Wood Chipper V 1.0 mod if you're going to do any forestry. It makes the chipper a little bigger and easier to use as Giants sort of dropped the ball on the whole forestry deal with the stock chipper.
As for a name... Not sure... Pete or Sanchez come to mind but I am sure they have been suggested a million times.

Stocko you want to be cutting the fir trees if you turn the chain saw on its side look down until the green line disappears then look up a bit till it reappears then cut and it should fall over then turn the chain saw back upright stand on the end of the tree click and run up the length and it should cut all the branches off then cut it up to fit in a trailer
Well, 1 your dog would probly do a great job in the fields, making sure the groundhogs, and moles are kept away. Also, for the name, do a contest, and the person who wins is chosen to be this seasons "worker." Obviously it would just be their name though!!!
All u want is the stepa trailer with crane to start loging it will pay for its self in 1 load at the train don't forget to send the train off after loading it for more money
The pressure washer is placeable like the beehouse, you won't need a front loader for that.

In bjornholm there is a forest to cut trees down in. you can cut any tree down but most aren't supported.

The *ONLY* other tool you need to become a lumberjack is the Stepa FHL 13 AK. It costs 53,000, but you will not need a front loader with it at all. It has a crane and trailer in one.
I wrote how to use it in the last video, hopefully you read it because the control scheme is utterly horrendous.
Also, the pressure washer is placeable on the map just like greenhouses so you don't need a front loader to transport it.
You dont need the tree planter either, you will never run out of trees.
Stocko I think it 1&2 on the numpad of up top but it controls the cruse control!!

The pressure washer is very useful because when your tractor get muddy it losses torque and traction
To speed up time as well as 7 and 8 you can go into settings to turn up crop growth from normal too fast or down to slow
To get to field 38 go towards the grain elevator and turn right before the house/shed thingy near it... much quicker
Damn you stocko.. I had given up these niche games (farming simulator, Euro Truck Simulator) and then decided to watch your new vids for 'old times' sake.. downloading FS15 now... sigh.
You should buy the stepa logging trailer then you can load logs and transport them as I don't think it would work trying to put them in your little trailer although it is quite difficult to use you should call your worker john and please go up to the grain elevator and then on the road a bit to get to 38

On hilly ground we don't cultivate because the water would wash the ground away and if you have lose and dry ground you don't have to cultivate
Hey there Stocko. Quick question - I don't have the game yet, but how do you turn off the map in the lower left corner? It seems it will be in the way if you can't turn if off.
I also think you should have all the equipment to work the logs and wood that you chop so it doesn't go to "waste" so to speak or just lie around.

stocko, if u press cntrl then u crouch which makes it easier to chop down trees
Bjornholm sounds like Bornholm (Danish). Bronholm is an island under Sweden but it is still Danish. Bronholm is hilly and has exposed bedrock so it matches the map well. It's official, the only person who I can watch play farm sim without bashing my head into the table is dertebbers, that part where u were trying to cut the tree was just pathetic

It took a while to get used to keeping the saw above what you wanted to cut, sometimes it's a bit hard to see where the blue cut line is. Trying to operate the crane and feed logs into the chipper is about the biggest pain in the ass. Wouldn't be so bad with a better camera view but jeez it's silly.
For me that is part of the appeal.

You can only cut some trees with the big log cutter but with the chainsaw you can cut any

Does it matter which order you fertilise the field in? Seed then fertilise, fertilise then seed; or seed, wait until the first signs of growth and then fertilise.
If you hit Insert you can take a bit more of a loan to get you going faster!
Buy the STEPA FHL 13 AK for easy logging but you need to got skills with a cran:D

The Steyr doesn't have a beacon, but the New Holland t4 and t6 do
U don't need to move the chain saw. Just find the blue circle and hold down the trigger and watch it fall
