I have owned a Ingersoll 3016 for 30 years,44inch mulching mower deck,& plow,& bercomac snowblower. I am 3rd owner now for ingersoll 4018 60 inch mower deck. Both have been repowered, rebuilt. Run great .will last forever.
I love my 446, it has been a dream unit after seeking out a tractor to use for using as a snowblower and groundwork and my deep fascination of real agricultural tractors. The really are a small tractor compared to a normal lawn tractor that you find in the big box stores over the past few decades.
The biggest difference is a garden tractor is made to work the ground whereas, a lawn tractor is made for cutting the lawn and light towing. Not to mention the physical differences of being made of heave gauge steel and cast-iron verse the lawn tractor thin stamped sheet metal that rots away quickly and its weakness.
As you mentioned, Case Ingersol Northeast not only keeps these units alive but, have made videos showcasing the physical advantages over even the hydrostatic tractors of the day. I can't say enough about them. He sent me his number and talked to me while trying to sort of an issue that I was having with my last 446, all for nothing. His desire to see these tractors live on is immense, the same can be said about all of those who make parts to keep these tractors operating.
Wheel Horse and Work Horse will always be my most favorite from the good old year of 1984
I’ve always wanted a Wheel Horse D250…
Dang good review Sir!
Sweet tractor. Good video
Allis what ? Chamber's?
Allis Chalmers.
You dropped a note to Case Ingersoll Northeast. Thanks, he's a really good guy.
I’ve got a 3012. And it might outlive me, but certainly doesn’t cut well at all compared to today’s machines. But I still like it for what it is. A good back up machine that won’t let you down. I use it as a snowblower far more often than I use it for mowing.
Great Video and thanks for the shout out and web site mention! Let us know if we can ever help you out in any way.
@caseingersolltractorsnortheast No problem! Glad you guys are still keeping these tractors going strong. I’ll probably be ordering a PMPS kit for a video in the coming months.
A very interesting video, it has good historical info and well paced. It keep me engaged to the end, but I wanted a little more tractor face time, if you know what I mean. (lol)
Now I want one!
Brilliant video, so good to see a product which has been made by engineers who genuinely cared about making high quality long lasting equipment.
Pleased you showed us the engine. May it serve you well and enjoy taking care of it. 😊
Came here because I have a 2013 Tesla, but I'm staying because your values - low cost & high value - really align with mine and I'm genuinely interested in your recommendations.
Very well done videos! However you're keeping notes and planning these videos is very much appreciated.
Glad you enjoy! It takes longer to do the more polished videos I’ve been making lately, so I’m glad to hear it’s appreciated!
I have always wanted to take a tour of the ever since the good old year of 1984Wheel Horse factory out there in good old South Bend, Indiana too bad that Wheel Horse went out of business and got bought out by Toro Wheel Horse back in the good old year of 1986🐴🐴🐴
I have a question to ask right now so like what ever happened to the grey Wheel Horse and Work Horse that were made back in the good old year of 1984?🐴🐴🐴
Nice review, I'm considering a 4118 right now but the hydraulics seems slightly overwhelming. On your 4116 tractor, does the rear axel(s)/wheels behave as a slip differential or are they capable of being locked as is a locking differential ?
Allis chamber lol
MY SON-IN-LAW JUST BOUGHT A NEW MASSEY FERGUSON GARDEN TRACTOR WITH A FRONT END LOADER FOR 13,000 DOLLARS . IT'S A SMALL FARM TRACTOR !!!!!!!!!!
