It broke my heart when he said he wanted to go home. 🥲 He was the youngest and the only foreigner in the competition. He’d been away from home for a long time and was very homesick. The other contestants were extremely supportive and Dimash built a strong friendship with some of them.

Great reaction thanks.. Dimash is really devoted to his family, who likewise support him fully in everything he does. He was actually brought up mostly by his grandparents as is customary in Kazakhstan for the first child. His grandmother got him into a music school at age 5! She is also a wonderful woman.. Dimash is so unusual in so many ways, very humble and family oriented, yet an absolute megastar on a stage! He is an enigma and a gift to our world, we are very lucky to have him! "He never fails to show his range" - actually Dimash has a lot of songs, which are just beautiful without being extreme vocally. Dears mostly request the hardest songs so that reactors can get acquainted with his abilities.

OMG...i have been listening to music my entire life [ i'm 70 ] and i thought Freedie Mercury was the most dynamic singer i have ever heard...... WRONG. This dude stands above every vocalist i have ever heard, there really isn't anyone that is a close second.

Keep in mind The 2017 singer competition, Dimash was only 22 and the only non Chinese. He was invited to perform. This was the his first time ever performing on what he called “the adult stage”. He will be 29 in May 2023, no more competitions for him Hehas worked hard everyday since entering music school at age 5 and he practices at least 3 hours a day and swims for breath control. He loves his job, his Dears, his family. Such a humble young man. There is no one like him. I ❤️ your reactions. By the way SOS is his signature song. He had to go first in 2017 and that’s what he sang.

Dimash wasn't expecting his father to be there with weather concerns and schedule conflicts. Dimash later said if he had known his father was there he (Dimash) wouldn't have shown off so much.I think by the gestures his father made that he wasn't disappointed with anything he saw or heard his son do.
I loved seeing the support Dimash receives from his parents. As one who never got that kind of support, either physical or verbal, you have no idea how important that level of approval is. Granted I never rose to the level of talent that Dimash has, it is still an undervalued component of success.

Also makes a heckuvalot more sense! LOL 'Thought you might like to know--I sure did! There was also another mistranslation of sorts when Jam Hsiao of LION band comments about how he changed even more keys than the original singer, Vitas. In this translation, someone put it down as "Horrible" which could easily be misconstrued by anyone as against Dimash. Jam was, in fact, giving him a massive compliment, as I've seen everyone else translate that as it's actually TERRIFYING just how high he can go so perfectly.

It’s a song by Lara Fabian, who rang Dimash after the performance to congratulate him! Lara has been a childhood idol of Dimash and he did get the chance to sing with her in 2019 (Ti Amo Cosi) at Igor Krutoy’s 65th birthday concert in Moscow, which was a dream come true for Dimash. It’s a trio performance with Aida Garifullina as well. Such an amazing performance! Lara has since gone on to write songs with Igor Krutoy for Dimash. Dimash also sings many songs that Igor Krutoy wrote that Lara also performs. Igor Krutoy also wrote Love is Like a Dream which you’ve recently reacted to, Igor was playing the piano in that performance. Igor came out of retirement in 2018 to work with Dimash when he heard him sing Sinful Passion at Sochi which you have already reacted to.
