The purest and finest minds and souls are with you, trust me. They are 'few', but they are great and strong. They are at the highest human soul can be. I may not be a religious person, but I deeply know why and what you are 'fighting' for. Do not worry about these 'lumpens' wandering around and insulting you. Do not worry about haters. I promise, 'the freedom will come from the shaddow' and 'tomorrow' there will be enough room for everyone. And great women and men will apprecaite what you are doing now.
With regards to Myriam's talk of marginalization; I think that quite a few Muslim communities in Europe marginalize and segregate themselves on religious grounds. Of course they are not the only ones, Orthodox Jews for example. I think a big issue that is very rarely mentioned is religious exclusive marriages in these communities and the stigma attached those who venture beyond their rigid community boundaries. It is a transparent lie that these communities are doing everything they can to integrate. In my view interfaith marriage could be a big step towards reducing these tensions. Its the whole "us" vs "them" dichotomy, I don't like it, but it exists and I realize that the world I live in is not the world I wish it to be. The sooner people acknowledge this the sooner we can work towards solving these problems.

What is the problem with the WEst with people being "different" from them? Who died and said that "Democracy" is the ONLY way to go??? Let people and communities have their own identities and thoughts and practices. Why this PUSH to mould into a certain "ideal" of what is "acceptable"??? Isnt that contradictory to democracy itself?...
Who died and said that "Democracy" is the ONLY way to go??? --> Well millions of people died in the world wars. You faith and your religion are you personal thing. The law of the land is what stops nazis and skin heads from going after foreigners. People cannot simply do what they like because of their religion. If a muslim is found to threaten somebody who wanted to leave islam, they should be jailed.
Non-Muslims from trips to Saudi Arabia? Is that such a bad thing? Why are funds being used for trips to that radical nation in the first place? They should teach students reading writing arithmetic and science.
The debaters drew a blank on what British values were. The requirement to actively promote British values in schools is covered in the Education Act of 2002 and likely in earlier Education Acts. I believe British values are the same as Western values. As an overview they are: democracy, the rule of British (and European) Law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. The above values include human rights such as: gender equality, freedom of religion, sexual orientation, etc. All the above values are a complete opposite of the “values” in Muslim countries especially those with Sharia Law.
Does Miriam ever stop talking over other people? After listening I find her unconvincing and myself clueless of what the other guests were trying to say. I suppose that means she achieved her goal, no?
