Vegeta’s hair was Red because they only had Black and White in the manga and hadn’t decided on his official hair color yet in the anime, it changes by the time he comes to earth
This was ret-conned. Yes that was the original reason but they ended up chalking it up to the atmosphere on the planet they were on when shown. That's why all the colors were different.
You might as well blaze through season 1 with multiple episodes per session - especially epsiode 1-6.
It gets MUCH better by episode 11 (new mics) and 18-onwards is pure gold.
And, like many will say, the DBZA Movies are part of the canon in the Abridged (the originals, except for History of Trunks, are spinoffs).
@@TheUltimateRare I mean, I LOVE Nappa & Popo, but there's so many obscure references, little background music, bad mics, and "rusty" vocal performances compared to Namek and onwards, so I just want to ensure him that it gets better and better :-)
It becomes sooo good after episode 15
Not to mention the episodes with nappa were hilarious as well
yea the first part of this drags a bit and really shows its age but nappa improves the episodes 100%, and it only ever keeps getting better from that point
most would say episodes 10-11 is where it get better
Looking into the history of DBZ Abridged is like looking into the general history of anime on CZcams.
Originally known as the 'Neighbourhood Cluck' group in 2007 (which abridged a couple of DBZ movies), they've been a part of CZcams culture since its earliest days, and heavily influenced /got involved with tons of other abridged projects, especially old classics like Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged.
After episode 10, the voice quality and overall quality just gets better. Specially the jokes

Don't drop it man, keep watching. It will improve alot in Quality after 15 episodes. This is one of the best things you'll watch on CZcams.

I know everyone's said it, but they're right, it really does skyrocket in quality after a few episodes. To the point where sometimes I find it difficult to make a distinction between the real show and the Abridged sometimes, they get the characters down perfectly pretty quickly, Vegeta is especially a treasure trove of fantastic moments.
Yes! I recommended this a while back and I saw a few other mention it too. It's great and once you get past the first few episodes the production and voice acting is amazing. Some of the emotional parts are actually more emotional because of how exaggerated their personalities are. Everything else is just hilarious.
It gets so much better, these first few episodes just don’t do justice of what’s to come lol. I got
my wife into Dragonball like this since she wasn’t willing to watch the whole anime at first 😅
I suggest watching with captions on, there's some excellent moments where they play important use as well as explaining some jokes that you may not quite fully understand, especially for how outdated these episodes may be.
The first episode of DBZA was originally uploaded on June 8, 2008. But because of CZcams and Toei issues, they had to reupload it down the line when it was taken down.
It’s even older than you think! That first episode originally came out in like 2009 I think? That’s a reupload. It gets so much better as it goes on

The original one came out in 2008 but they had copyright issues and it was forcibly taken down. They were able to reupload it in 2013 :)

The jokes you probably didn't get:
1. 1:44 Turles is a movie villain that looks like an evil Goku.
2. 2:21 Appule is a Frieza minion that looks like an octopus-man.
3. 3:35 Radiz's main attack is "Double Sunday", but was changed in the dub to "Keep Your Eye on the Birdy."
4. 4:37 Goku was found living alone in the woods by Bulma.
5. 6:05 As a baby Goku was as viscous as any other Saiyan baby, but became good after a head injury.
6. 7:03 The very first wish ever made in DB was by Oolong, who wishing for a pair of panties.
7. 7:10 The anime released before the official colors for Vegeta was decided, so they defaulted to that.
When Krillin kept asking Raditz: Right? Raditz delivered a solid right hook to Krillin with his tail.
@Aimin originally when they were animating the anime the creator didn't know what he wanted vegeta to look like. That's why vegeta looks different in that scene.

The production and quality overall only gets exponentially better so you're in for a treat
1:05 - I say this any time I see anything made by Toriyama. But I always find it kind of amusing that he draws all of the animals that would exist today in this hyper-realistic style, while the humanoid characters and any creatures that are either extinct or are fantasy creatures are the ones drawn with exaggerated features.

The quality gets WAY better when Vegeta and Napa arrive. I’d try to get to there ASAP.
I'm not sure if anybody else has mentioned it but episode 1 is from like 2008, the series was either on another channel originally or the episode was removed at one point.
Either way, the 2013 date is the reupload.
You can really see a lot of progress with every episode of abridged in the beginning

Yeah like everyone has been saying, just trust the process. The first 10-15 episodes are kinda rough and cringe but after that, it turns into an absolute masterpiece.
I’d also recommend watching with the Canadian subtitles on. They throw more jokes in the captions.

These abridged episodes get so much better. You gotta watch them all. They actually stay pretty close to the original story for the most part and the last episode they made was the end of the cell saga

I know this might seem overwhelming, but since the episodes are so short can you do like maybe 3 a day??? Again I know it seems overwhelming but the episodes are like half the length of an actual Dragonball episode

Yeah I'm too young to have used Myspace as well. Basically Tom was the creator of Myspace and he was set as your friend by default. The joke is that the only Myspace friend piccolo has is the one guy who literally comes with your MySpace account.

The group “Team Four Star” are the people who did the DBZ Abridged series. You should be able to find all of their content on their CZcams channel, and they covered everything from the start of DBZ up to the end of the Cell Saga - including most of the DBZ movies. (They got a legal cease-and-desist order before they could do the Buu Saga.)

Not only was there a cease and desist order, but they said that they didn't really want to do the buu saga. The creators felt they did what they could and got fully burnt out on the series.

Watch more, because it only gets better from here. People that recommend this series often suggest skipping the first 10 episodes because from 11 onwards, they are WAY better, so if you liked this, you'll LOVE what comes later.
