Big Z is far and away the greatest strongman in history! There have been other greats, and some that were a bit stronger in certain events, but overall this man is 100% the GOAT!
I love the endless title fights Big Z and Shaw has had over the years. The dedication of Shaw is amazing, but Z takes the cake...

When it comes to the best overall strongman in history, it's no doubt Big Z. The records be has set/broken, the titles, the longevity of his career. When you take everything into consideration as a whole, the man has no equal.

Every single record that has ever stood in strongman events (or any competition what so ever) have been beaten.
All of Zydrunas achievements will be beaten, just like he broke someone else's records.
Even Icelandic strongmen are jealous of his genetics

Yeah his pressing is freakish, never seen anything like it. And he did it over & over for decades. I like Shaw a lot, he's a great champion, but Z did stuff that's just unthinkable to me.
In 2012 Vytautas Lalas was doing so well until the last event where Big Z just smoked the stairs

There should be an asterisks next to Zydrunas' Arnold titles. There was no serious competition there from 2002-2008.

Two things... Most wins and record at all SM competitions. Big Z was never stripped of a medal for peeing dirty like Pudz.

More like 3 time champion and a tie.
might have been a tie but it was fair to make him the winner as he had more first place finishes in that comp. Same could be said for Mateuz in asc 2020 where he got 5 or 6 first place out of 6 or 7 events, but he did so poor on the Deadlift that he lost by points sadly. Just shows that you have to be strong overall.
