- We caught up with the cast of SPACE and SyFy's new supernatural dramedy Being Human this afternoon in Toronto. The series is adapted from a BBC3 show of the same name about a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost who share a flat.
We joined Sam Huntington (Superman Returns, Fanboys), Meaghan Rath (15/Love) and Sam Witwer (Smallville, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed) to talk about the show, their schools of vampirism, lycanthropy and poltergeisting, shooting the show in Montreal, and what they have on their dork shelves.
Being Human airs Mondays on SPACE at 10:00PM ET and SyFy at 9:00PM ET.

I cant believe Sam witwer is nearly 40 years old now
He is actually a real vampire.
He looks like 40 and 12 at the same time
i was so worried that this show was going to be another cheesy show with horrible script and acting. i fell in love from the first episode. great acting, great script, great plot, great characters. the actors seem to work very well with each other and makes me wanna hang out with them.
this is my new favorite show.
All 3 of them, have great chemistry together on their own levels. Nice.
I think it's hilarious how once one of them laughs, the rest of them can't help it. They all have a really similar sense of humor and that's awesome. You really feel the fact that they're all friends in reality and not just one the show. I think that gives a lot of merit to the show- that chemistry.
GOD I JUST STARTED WATCHING THIS SHOW NOW IN SEASON THREEE.... AND I LOVE THESE THREE SO F'ING MUCH
They are so cute wtf
sam witwer has that effect on the ladies lol
Anonymous Winchester It's the voice
@@finnthefannibal its the everything for me
@@finnthefannibal That Deacon voice
I'm going to get to meet Sam Witwer soon. I can't wait!!!
It's always great to see a show and know the actors work so well together. I fell in love with the show after one episode and I definitely can't wait for the next episode :)
I love that show I wish there were more episode, and Sam Witwer is awesome, Aidan was always my favorite character, he seems too young to be 40 yrs old though
there was a marathon of this show on yesterday and i watched one episode and i was hooked can't wait for the next season!
"I have a darth vader helmet, bro...put THAT on your dork shelf" hahaah omg .best line ever.
They have fantastic chemistry off-screen (and it shows up on screen too). Part of the reason the show is so good!
I saw one episode of season 2 and I was hooked. I'm all caught up now. This is a great show!
Although the first season of each show had alot of similarities. It started changing towards the end.
The protagonist of the game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Starkiller, is based on Sam Witwer and also voiced by him :)
I'm in Trinidad and just saw the reruns on syfy and I love this series!
I miss these guys. I wish they got more shows.
i love their chemistry like !!!
I absolutely love this show and I am very picky when it comes to series so keep it going guys!
I love this show! I started watching BBC's Being Human and I think they're both great!!! =)
Love that Witwer says Jason Patric, hes been my fave ever since i first saw The lost Boys
I tried watching the UK version first and could not get in it for the life of me, I had to turn it off. But I reaaaallllly love the US version. I became enthralled instantly and have loved all the seasons so far.
It gets good.
i love them , ooo so much . they are so comfortable with eachother .
These guys are great together.
best interviews ever
Great interview. Those three are hilarious
Very awesome shows and seasons, ahh yeh
i watched both versions and first i was sceptical with the us one but now i like it better:D
Its cool seeing actors acting mellow and act like ordinary people
i love this cast so much haha
I'm sorry but who's to say that the UK hasn't ript anything off from an American original? It's like food. People make different versions of tacos and other stuff but people still enjoy it. The U.S version of being human never tried to replace the original, if so, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't put (U.S) after the title. They most likely would've left it as is. Btw, Sam Witwer looks NOTHING like Robert Pattison in any way or form. That was an insult.
they must have a ton of fun on set
Love that ET reference just at the end!
I really enjoy both the BBC and the US versions of this show. :)
Meaghan Rath has the attention span of a gnat--she's constantly grinning, looking around, and struggling to sit still and be respectful. (It's pretty funny)
love the show
I had thought once that he wore make but no that his actual skin tone now that's cool
Wish netflix had more than one season :( I wasn't even sure they did more than one season until I saw this.
omg its so strange how the actress that plays Sally is SOOOO different than the character lol
I MET THEM LAST WEEK!!!! They were really nice
these guys are hilarious together xD
"I have a DARTH VADER HELMET bro"
the series is awesome .. Watching it from the first episode i was hooked.. Josh ( Huntington ) treats his affliction like a curse.. and hates being a werwolf .. so much so that he basically cuts himself off with any personal relationship, Aiden ( Sam Witwer ) tries to draw back his lust for blood and being a Vampire and Sally ( Meaghan Rath ) is trying to desperately find out why shes still in the house she was murdered in. as good or even better than the British Version on BBC....
i died of laughter in this interview xD "ANSWER THE FUCKING QUESTION" XD love them all! Beinghuman!
@ChaNTaLxD94 thank you :)
i will try to watch them as well. I'm always up for surprises ;) I have been watching the UK one on Netflix, but i don't know if it has the US version.
i love that he said jason patric from lost boys is what he relate to.
hey does anyone know why he can be in sunlight i miss that part
their so much like their charectors ahahaha
strange to see Sally without her morning gown =)
Yeah different things happen in the US version so its not just about the language or accents.
I watched the BBC original from the beginning, but I'm really warming to the U.S. Scifi version now. The first few episodes were pretty much the same, but now the scripts/episodes are developing their own little arcs that don't JUST copy the BBC Original. The cast dynamic is really coming together and now I enjoy the American version just as much as the British. I don't compare the 2 at all now. They both seem like different shows. 2 thumbs up guys.
Gosh they're funny! I love Sam (Whitwer) fake knocking something over in anger.
Seems like a fun show
@enigma19833
sooo true, the UK version is probably not going to have another season after this new one because the main character left, less viewers...
Best show on TV.
These folks are more likeable than the British cast. This is a GOOD American adaptation of a British tv show. Saw a few episodes on BBC America.
It's also 1 of the few reasons that I don't drop SyFy like a radioactive chunk of merde'.
Thumbs Up for a season 3!!!
I think I had a heart attack when Sam Huntington said his wife and his baby. He's my favorite.... so cute too....
I love the us version to
Sam Huntington sounds just like his character (Josh). What a perfect match.
love them and aidan is funny
i hate remakes of anything typically, but i devoured the first season of the us version. so awesome
I want sam's shows :O
Sorry I'm new here ... so what is it about? The Starkiller' thing ?? I don't get it :D
No, as much as I know Meaghan is dating the guy who plays Nick in the show, and Witwer is dating the girl, who played Rebecca in season 1.
Season 2 THIS JANUARY!!!!
The special effects in the US version are better, but the UK story developed faster and more fully, the 1st season 1st 3 episodes almost covered all 13 US version episodes. I'm still catching up on UK version so those are only comparisons so far, the ghost has more powers in UK version as well, so far.
@JayActionFan It's nice to see people who like both. :) when I commented last all I saw were posts on another vid bashing the US version. And a bunch of hipsters trashing this version without having watched it. I do like both. But this one just a little better mainly because I saw it first. They're both good but different styles.
they didnt rip it off it was meant to be that way they just transfered to america so we could enjoy watching it as well
Luv the show n luv Sam Witwer!!
Sam is one of those achtors you'll love to see in a lot of rols and be succesfull :3
huntington is cute =)
Sam Witwer is such a cutie patutie! Im a fan!! He got me at his fangs! ^-^
i live in the uk and i love the us being human, i mean some parts are similar but i find supernatural programmes are always better with an american accent.
Wait...what?
I don't know which one came first, but I didn't know they had an American version of the Being Human that I watch (filmed in the U.K) with Mitchell the vampire, George the werewolf and Annie (Anna) the ghost
Does anyone know if they have the same story line with vampires all fighting Mitchell and Annie's fiancee was the one who killed her and goes insane?
I love this Being Human show more. I've seen a couple of the british ones, and they were good, but honestly I kinda got bored, and thought there was some over acting in it. The american one has a more well balanced theme. Every actor on this show is perfect.
i think the new series and the new cast of the UK Being Human is awesome better looking vampire betting looking werewolf (liking the striking resemblance to Jake G) and a Hot new Ghost its just a shame its the last ever series. I am hooked on this version tho!
Witwer has a Vader helmet replica! That made my bf jealous....
Who plays bishop? Because that's the same guy who plays the devil in Supernatural, and whoever he is he is an awesome actor.
Haha...love Sam's shoes, lol.
hell yeah
Why do all of Sam Witwer's shirts always look like they are vacuum sealed onto his body?
I want to see these guys talk to the ones from bbc
@TopShadowman the reason they didnt see the orinal was so the cast would try to act or perform exactly they did. they wanted to be original to their performance :P
wow both of there names is sam
@musicdraganfly Sorry if that came off as snappy. It wasn't intended. There was another video on here somewhere of people totally trashing the US version and it kind of irked me. I get feeling like someone "Stole" an idea. And the fact that Syfy was billing it like "An original series" pissed people off. I was like "Stupid Hipsters". I like both version but this one a little more just because I saw it first. They're both good shows just very different.
dude at least we know how to use 'they're' correctly.
No mention of the original BBC version.
Sam just LOVESSSS to talk! ;) But its okay because I could stare at him for hours
ALL of the actors are incredibly talented. Both UK and Canadian. Anyone seen the scene where George breaks down over turning Nina? Aidan talking about killing his family? In certain aspects UK is better. In another ways the Canadian version is. Stop trashing either version, their both incredible.
u haven't seen the uk version have u caz the is definately wat it isn't.
Yeah surprisingly the two episodes I have seen of Being Human I really like. I love all their characters on the show. The show is not cheesy and it has a different vibe than the UK version. UK more relaxed, funnier and the US one is darker, more drama with some humor thrown in there. I don't think that there is anything wrong with a little nudity or sex scene. It's not full nudity nor do they act out the sex scene, its just basically making out.
@Lisha506 There only been like 3 or 4 episodes and they are all well acted and the special effects are alot better in the american version give it time and different doesn't mean bad
@Lisha506 How is it a fail? the british version is really good and so is this one
6:12 cameraman unintentionally making a shadow puppet
"answer the fucking question!" pahahahahahaha
:)
Did anybody know that Sam Huntington was one of the cavemen for the Geico commercials and the tv show? :D
There's room for both shows. Why is it necessary to compare one to the other? Or why trash one version? You don't like it? fine. Don't watch it or stuff about it. I prefer this one, just because I saw it first. I've been meaning to check out the British one, I'm sure it's good. But screaming about which one is better seems silly. You can like them both
5:35 is to funny. this show is going to be great
this show has the sexiest cast lol, and i love this show its like an adventure
AGREE
YEAH. I LIKE THOSE OTHER DUDES, BUT SHE'S WHY I'M WATCHING THIS.
