I am thinking of making something like a big buzzer (switch) with a counter led. When the counter reached a certain number like 10,15 there should be a different final sound to simulate reaching the target number.

The MAX7219 requires 5 volts. Your video shows a 5 volt regulator being fitted to the heatsink and with wires etc but the drawing of the circuit at the end of the video shows a 7812 (12volt) regulator. This is incorrect, it must be a L7805 to feed the MAX7219. 12volts would cause it to fail.
Why add a connector when the Arduino has one that you could use?
Also Solder isn't the best way of joining connections between elements, it has a resistance which is as a rule of thumb 5 times that of copper wire connectors when used in the manner you have used it.

I am trying to make a Led panel with 8 modules of max7912, matrix 8 × 8, where it would be possible to pass a message after the click of a button. you would like to press the button and show an information in the panel, click again and another appears and so until you make 4 messages. How can I do this, because I can only scroll messages all together and not separately after the button click.

I did a project with 12 modules 8x8 with different writings and various effects, when the supply is through usb works perfectly, while if the supply is with an external power supply 12V dc works partially, Led Matrix displays only the first 2 written with its own effects. I think it's a power problem but I do not understand why. Can You help to understand Tanks

I am bit confused. The video (at 1.05) shows power regulator IC 7805, which means input supply to circuit is 5 volt. Where as at the end of the video (7.33) circuit diagram shows 12 volt. and IC shown in circuit diagram is also 7812, which is 12 volt regulator. So what is really needed? 12 V or 5 V?
The adapter used is a 12 volt adapter, the IC used is 7805, which means that the 12 volt input is reduced to 5 volts, because the power for the Arduino requires 5 volts. please correct me if I'm wrong🙏🏻

Hi, I have a Arduino project in which I have to make a game (Snake game) 4 (8x32 LEDs matrix), so a total of 32x32 LEDs matrix. I have done some research and the libraries that exist for the MAX7219 can only be used to control individual 8x8 LEDs (or connected together). But let's say the matrix I have is 32x32, and I want to control the LED on the first row and 25th column, I would love to be able to write something like: matrix[24][0]. Anyone knows about a library that works like this? Thank you in advance!
I don't know how the MAX works, but I have created an Arduino project with Arduino Mega and 9 8×8 LED matrixes without it. (because I was too lazy to do any research on the MAX7219). So I ended up with a 24×24 matrix connected to an Arduino with 48 wires. It's messy, but it works and it only relies on my own code, not any libraries. I have basically replaced the controller with a bit of code, and now I feel much better about the final product than I would have felt if I had used pre-made libraries and controllers. This is my work. Purely.
If you want the display to be 32×32 LEDS, you really will have to use the controllers, not even Arduino Mega has enough pins for that.
