      In Algodoo, a spring behaves like an object with an axis of rotation attached to both ends of a rectangle if the values of constant and damping are made very large.
      At about 1:50 in this video, two of these are attached and the connection point of one of the springs is superimposed on the other to make it act like a rotary axis.

      Spongify is useful for people who like gaps, polygons and hinge. Heavy use of polygons and hinge makes Algodoo slow, so it is not suitable for creating complex devices or many objects.
