Visited Sharan in 1972, immediately after 10th class. 12 students, 2 teachers and one cook. With college hiking club. Started from Dadar in Sirun Valley, walked on this track for 15 miles all day long and reached Sharan forest Rest House in Kaghan Valley. In 1972, one egg was for 2 annas(1/8 of a Pakistani rupee). One live chicken was for 4 rupees. Unlike present times, such items were very cheap in remote areas. Since every household would have their own chickens, egg, cattles, grains etc. Nowadays, cities supply foodstuff I think and remote area prices are mire expensive. Northern area Pakistanis, please correct me if I am wrong. Since I live in Islamabad.

Are you referring to Dadar that comes after Shinkiari along KKH???? 😮 That's altogether on the other side of the mountain. Which track did you take?
There are many beautiful places on the mountains along the KKH in Shinkiari, Bafa, Oghi, Kala Dhaka areas in Mansehra district a lot of hiking will take you there but it's worth it.
@@Vladmir-Putin Dadar in Sirun Valley to Sharan in Kaghan Valley. Not the one taken by Abrar. Was too young to remember. We started walking around 8.30 or 9 am and reached around 4.30 or 5 pm. But can't recall exactly. Sack of flour and utensils would be on donkey. Each one of us had a backpack of our clothes and personal belonging. In 15 days we covered around 100 km. Every day covered around 15 to 20 km. Dadar to Sharan to Paras. Kaghan to Naran. Naran to batakundi to Lakazar). From there via glasier and mountain track to Saiful Muluk to Naran. Last stop at Malakundi. We would stay the nights at Forest Rest houses. In 1972, only one rest house was there in Sharan.
So road was bad in 1972 and still bad in 2023. That's pakistan for u

Unfortunately, corruption within the government has hindered its development since the partition. With a fair and efficient administration, Pakistan could easily become one of the world's top tourist destinations. Love my country from Balochistan ❤
I wish the infrastructure stays the way it is. The more access people get to these stunning areas, the more destruction they cause. I have traveled a lot in Pakistan, and all the raods that are either bumpy or there is no road are still safe, beautiful, and clean. Look at Murree, Naran, Kalam. They have been destroyed due to accessive construction. Our people do not deserve these areas. They deserve education and manners first.

However, the main issue hindering tourism from attracting more international visitors is the lack of proper infrastructure. If we improve our infrastructure, tourism will undoubtedly flourish. Very nice video of the beautiful Sharan Forest. We stayed at Chinar Resorts mentioned 2 weeks back. A lot of tourists stay there and a such a serene and calming atmosphere for families . It has very clean rooms and excellent food. Staff is so courteous.

Ali's motorbike withstand all the slippery muddy and gravel roads, i hope you will get some advice from the local man.😅. I was so nervous while you rode the bike on the edge of the narrow off roads with slippery gravel paths ahead.

Also liked the bright red color roofing in the most resorts and restaurants, here in Srilanka we are having green color roofing mostly in the hill areas.
