Underrated analysis. Good points.
Yay thanks!!
The Pacers and Wolves inefficient late game management cost each at least two games.
Yeah those turnovers were so crucial.. if they don’t happen we could be still watching both series right now 😂
I think when Ant wasn't on they reverted to the Conley-Gobert PNR. Problem is Conley is old and can't penetrate the rim, and Rudy has no offensive bag and has low confidence. They had more success when KAT posted up but that was rare.
Yeah KAT going to the basket in general made them harder to guard, they’ll have to make some tweaks this off-season I’m curious to see what moves they’ll make
T'Wolves defensive scheme was exposed in the WCF. Goebert is useless guarding on the perimeter. ANT was visibly exhausted guarding Kyrie and that hurt them late when they needed points.
I said the same thing why they threw that ball towards the Boston basket I will never understand.
Yeah I mean you learn from your mistakes but looking back it kinda altered the series !
You know ball for sure
Thanks!! Appreciate that
Minnesota didn't lose those games because of a couple of errant passes. They lost those games because they don't have a true 2nd or 3rd creator on offense, or even a truly reliable 3-baller. This weakness puts even more pressure on individual plays and players and results in bad plays throughout the game.
Of course there was other issues but at the end of the day besides the close out game they were right in (and had leads) in all of them and it came down to the last couple of possessions in games 1-3. And what happened was Minnesota would turn it over so they wouldn’t even get a shot up. So yes it didn’t cause them to lose the series, but we could’ve been looking at game 6/7 right now had they closed out two of those 3 games
The Celtics are raising banner #18 soon (this year).
Unless Kidd can actually coach, I'm afraid you'll be right. Mavs can put up a fight, but they need to do more than iso ball. Celtics are loaded with talent, but I'm not sold on their coach.
It may happen!
@@hajime2k to your point I do think as I said in my video last night Mavs need to do a better job of exploiting the mismatches (Horford and Porzingis on Luka) and passing the ball more I agree with you too much iso ball right now
@@hajime2k I never wanted Kyrie on the Celtics to begin with. He dribbles too much and the other players end up watching him. Same thing with Luca. No reason this isn’t a sweep 🧹 considering how poorly the Celtics shot the ball from the 3 point area and still won.
@@VitalScoops Horford is a smart defender and brings much hustle even at his old age. Dude will do anything needed to win. He might get traded off after the Finals, so he's making the most out of the moment.
Porzingis isn't playing that much, but the Celtics can cover him when he gets iso'd. Even then Luka and Kyrie will have trouble shooting over a 7'2" wall.
PJ Washington needs to shoot lights out because the Celtics are content with slowing down Luka and/or Kyrie. Mavs bench doesn't exist.
Duncan won on his 2nd trip to the playoffs.
Greatness!
