Yes its a strange route but the whole of it is the official route that southern expect their replacement services to operate on when covering their trains.

All you would hear was a lot of clattering as you go along over the lovely English roads.

It was done as a way of training the route for rain replacement. all you would hear on the sound is the rattle of the bus going over the bumps.
