For 7, he did not slow down for 1st car, honked too quickly at the 2nd driver who is probably yielding for pedestrians or cars turning left, and honked at those cycling kids who were clearly near the curb and on the bike lane.

@@TheGonebald look at the Netherlands, they have gotten rid of most of their traffic lights and stop signs. Yielding intersections are much more efficient and safer on low speed city streets.

#7 You're first and second incident were totally justified, but you can have this L for throwing a hissy fit and honking at the kids and who managed to maintain to stay in the bike lane as you were speeding past them and going over the posted speed limit.
It’s not justified. They had an incredible amount of time to slow down and let that car turn into the lot.
If you'll notice, there is a stop sign there. Bicycles also have to stop at stop signs, if your kids can't learn this, they'll get turned into road pizza.

That guy is an idiot on the first one he saw the van coming in and didnt stop just to get closer and brake at the last minute. On the second the car ahead of him is just being extra cautious because the white suv coming the other way is indicating he is going left. And kids enter the bike lane without stopping? same, he doesn't brake just the horn. Imagine the girl getting scared by the horn and invading the car lane result: you kill a kid.

The bicyclists also rolled through a stop sign and didn't check to see if there was any oncoming traffic. Road laws apply to all users, so the bicyclists would have been in the wrong. I also agree with @jollyfan1218 as the cammer probably didn't notice that a bike lane was there.
First of all, they just ran out without looking at all (maybe that's even a stop sign they ran), AND, they are kids. I would be worried too, and so would any other decent driver. Hopefully that honk taught them some traffic-sense.

Bear in mind, the "lights were also flashing" between 0:14 and 0:15 giving the cammer a HALF second to react to the flashing yellows. How can you reasonably expect them to react THAT fast? That's like expecting moving traffic going through a 3 minute green, seeing a 1/2 second yellow, and effectively stopping for a 2 minute red. Sorry, it doesn't work like that.

@@clearviewtechnical Problem was the second the lights came on, the ped ran across the road. The Cammer was literally only a few feet from the crosswalk when they turned on. It wasn't like the cammer was ignoring them.

More likely honking because he thought they were going to dive in front of him, or for rolling the stop sign (illegal in MI). I'd bet the former--bike hand signals are tough to see from the left side, particularly when they aren't made where a driver can actually see them.
On his second incident he is just being an asshole. Car ahead of him slows down just because the white suv coming the other way is indicating left turn.

Double check your local laws. I have talked to several law enforcement officers in different places and they quoted the law. They said that the law doesn’t state who “has” the right of way. It states who is supposed to “yield to whom.” They stated that the vehicle is suspended to “ yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a cross walk at an uncontrolled intersection.” I asked an officer if you are supposed to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a parking lot that is not using a designated cross walk. He said technically no but if you hit someone you will loose in court. People go brain dead in parking lots in or out of a vehicle.

Please explain what the driver did wrong here. In all cases I feel he was in the right here and only hit the horn in short bursts. 1st case the other car turned in front of him without allowing enough space, 2nd case he was notifying the car in front the light was still green and in the 3rd case he didn't know if the bicyclist were going to come out into his lane as they never checked of incoming traffic after they rolled through a stop sign. Even bicyclists have to obey road signs.

@tigerwulff It’s legal to turn across a double yellow in my state but I believe it’s illegal to turn into a dedicated left turn lane. Either that or using the turn lane to merge, forgot which.
You can make a left across a double yellow, but you can't pass cars on one. And, there's no reason you can't make a left into that turn lane as long as you are going to continue in it and make the turn. Merging out of it across a solid white line while impeding cars wanting to turn left is illegal.

I'm becoming convinced that we need to have mandatory driving tests at the time of license renewal for *all* drivers, not just very elderly ones. The number of just basic, basic driving errors is insane.
Then we will end up with lots of people driving without a license because they fail.

Double yellow (or any single or double solid line) means you cant pass, not that you cant make a turn. Cammers mistakes were merging through a solid white, impeding traffic in the turn lane, and I think there is also a law that says you cant change lanes within a certain distance from the intersection which the cammer may have violated.
I also bet there was a no left turn exit sign from where ever he was leaving.

I've noticed at least half of the people posting or submitting these videos are the at-fault drivers or at least aggressive drivers.

I have a lot of downtime at my current job, so I watch way too many of these. A) Absolutely true, at least half. B) This has gotten so much worse since Covid, used to really stick out when the cammer was at fault.
