I really like how genuinely offended Hook seems at David's implication he's just trying to fool around with Emma. He wants to be worthy in David's eyes but he sets the record straight the moment it's implied that he doesn't value her.
Nicole Bragg Oh, the way you phrased it at the end confused me for a sec. It sounded like you were saying he tried to convey that he DIDN'T care about Emma. I was like, what?! 😕😄
I love the line "Whatever we become is as much up to her as it is to me." For all his flirting in his first 2 seasons he genuinely values and respects Emma's autonomy.
I think this should’ve just been a David and Emma episode. Why is it I like it better when David says “my daughter” then “our daughter.” He says "I think it's time you and I have a little talk about your intentions with my daughter"
I would take the one handed pirate who stands his ground for his lady over the man who leaves his lady and runs at the first sign of a problem...his Daddy
David: i think it's time you and i have a little talk about your intentions with my daughter Hook: that's old fashioned even by my standards and i still pay with doubloons David: oh, remember i know your reputation, Emma's not some conquest. Hook: i wouldn't risk my life for someone i see as loot. Whatever we become, its up to her as Much as me
I really want more Daddy Charming moments too but I understand why there's not. Technically, him and Emma are the same age. It'd be a little akward. It's easy for Snow to give her motherly advice, but they kind of have to save the Daddy moments for when she's dating. Especially considering what Hook would be to any normal father, a rebelious punk.
hook english or british or irish accent is so sexy and cool! I really love that accent! but honestly, most of the time i can't figure out what he was saying!
Jessica L Thanks for sharing that! I have watched this scene over and over again without understanding a word he said -.- Does he speak that inarticulate or is that some kind of accent? (sorry, non-native speaker)
I really want to know what's Emma's reasons for suddenly trying to avoid from Hook!surely it's not because of the guilt she feels because of what happened to Regina!because that would be a crappy reason for avoiding romance!
Yeah, I'm almost 33, and my dad is still clear that he intends to mercilessly grill any guy who wants to take me out. I actually don't think it has anything to do with my choice as his daughter; my mom might give me advice on potential partners, but I can't see my dad doing or saying anything to me personally to even slightly influence my choice in that regard. I think it's a form of male competition, really, where Dad wants to make sure the upstart male potential boyfriend knows that even if daughter picks him as her choice, Dad ain't going anywhere and will always have his little girl's back, so watch your step!
Did you realize there is no true love in this series? Nobody stayed loyal to their lovers after their death. Everyone found a new love. Hook found Emma after Mila, Regina found Hood after Daniel.. I wish there was a character who stayed loyal until his/her death and were reunited in heaven. I know my views on true love is a bit extreme but it's how I feel.
I actually really like how the show handles that. Hook lived hundreds of years after Milah, I don't think he should've spent all that time alone. Regina tried & failed to resurrect Daniel, did she not deserve to be happy with Robin? Having characters move on and fall in love with other people is just realistic. People lose the ones they love in real life all the time, and falling in love again doesn't invalidate those previous relationships. It's especially nice to see this in a fantasy/drama show like this one whose primary audience... hasn't been alive that long and don't understand that people can have more than one extremely meaningful romantic relationship in the course of their lives. It's good.
Now I may be misremembering here, but I don't think Daniel was Regina's 'true love.' I think it was a relationship born of Regina's need to get away from her mother with anyone halfway decent. Of course Regina grieved Daniel to the point of near-total destruction, but maybe if she had had a normal childhood he would never have been more than a friend. Tink says Robin is Regina's true love, and Regina never replaces him. She finds strength and happiness with friends and family alone afterward, and that is one of my favourite developments in the series. I love that she doesn't feel the need to be in a relationship, any relationship at all, just to satisfy herself. Unless it's with her true love, Regina is just going it her own way! And then there are the Charmings, and Rumple and Belle. Granted, Rumple had been with Milah, and perhaps he had once loved her, but she never loved him so that wouldn't count as true love by the standards of the series. So I would say that Rumple and Belle work for true-love fidelity, too: Rumple isn't with anyone else after Belle dies until they are reunited.
But Charming and Snow White? They will end up together, been quite sure and they haven't fallen in love (OR had "True love" before). By the way I find it great, that they show that people can overcome the loss of people they loved and be happy again (and Hook was literally hundreds of years obsessed wit a desire to revenge because of the woman he loved died). He deserves to move on finally. And Emma was not just a random girl, but a girl with whom he really fall in love. I think it means that he never tried to find someone just to forget about Milah. That is it
You have a very very childish view of love. You really think if a person isn't someone's one and only love then the love is less significant? People can love more than one person and just cause someone you loved died doesn't mean you have to spend the rest of your life mourning them like grow up? Hook is centuries old was he supposed to never move on? Neal wasn't Emma's true love and Milah wasn't Hooks. Does that satisfy you, child?
I can't get over you saying these people needed to be loyal to a dead person. I'm guessing you want your partner to stay miserable and sad if you die because you're that petty 😂
Mackenzie Blair first of all she didn't replace Bae, he died, nothing they could do, & secondly there is ALOT more to Killian than that and you know it, He would risk his life over and over for her. And more..
This may be unpopular but I never really thought Neal was great anyways! He had redeeming moments (yay complex characters) but tbh I would've been disappointed if Emma got back together with him.

Come on Charming, you already know how Hook feels about Emma. Remember the conversation you had with "Prince Charles"
ya but when they came back from the past they told everyone what had happened so they know Emma was Princess Leia and Hook was Prince Charles
I mean maybe but I feel like I wanna give Charming more credit and say he assumed if Emma was Leia that Hook was Charles
Kinglovesyoutodeath So, it WAS him!
i think he does other wise David would not have said something
@@emilykira7025 no fraking way
says it's old fashioned, later asks David's permission to marry Emma.
The guy is like 200 years old
that's why David got him back when he was like "Hook, I never realized you were so old fashioned." lol
Hahahaha I love Daddy Charming!!
...yeah, i think we all know his "intentions"...
yep 😂
haha yep. tacooosss
+Eeva Salmela oh ma god I remember that episode
Well it's pancakes now ;)
Now they got a little Pancake together named Hope!
Just love it wenever charming shows his daddy side for emma its just😍
I think this should’ve just been a David and Emma episode.
Why is it I like it better when David says “my daughter” then “our daughter.”
He says "I think it's time you and I have a little talk about your intentions with my daughter"
Be a bit weird if he did say "our daughter" whilst addressing Hook, but I agree
I would take the one handed pirate who stands his ground for his lady over the man who leaves his lady and runs at the first sign of a problem...his Daddy
David: i think it's time you and i have a little talk about your intentions with my daughter

Daddy Charming mode activated! ❤😁
OVERPROTECTIVE DAD DAVID IS MY FAVORITE THING ON THE PLANET
Handsome pirate vs. Overprotective royal dad? Pirate wins this round!
I really want more Daddy Charming moments too but I understand why there's not. Technically, him and Emma are the same age. It'd be a little akward. OMG I lose my sh*t with this 😂😂 "rebelious punk"
Anto Fernández Lol, at least that's how Daddy Charming sees him.
+xCanYouFeelTheLovex Totally! I need to see more of this in 5B!!
LOOOOL
Hook, I didn’t know you were enjoining us *laughter*
The world's largest ice bucket!
It's so cute the way Killian says it 😍
Oh yay when they actually start dating is soon im in the middle of season 3 lol
That's probably what my dad will do.
And mine. I think my dad would make boys (who want to date/marry me) wish they were at the mercy of a horror movie villain.
Or barely need to say anything because there's no need to. My dad didn't need to say much at all. The nerves did it for him.
Now, we have been married since 2011.
emma needs absolutely not of her parents approval for anything. like she said “they’re the same age”
hook english or british or irish accent is so sexy and cool! I really love that accent! but honestly, most of the time i can't figure out what he was saying!
+ScootergirlBatia Thomas Colin's accent is Irish, but Hook's is actually British. Colin has to loop the accent.
It's British in the show but with some pirate slangs lol
That, m'lady, is talent. Still weird as heck watching Colin in other movies where he uses an American accent.
HawRaa FaLah nah he's irish
Trevor Bungie He's Irish in real life but he speaks with a British accent in the show.
What ? Me ? Watching all Hook videos I can find? No. I am here for the story. Come on. Not for the pirate booty.
Cool
Overprotective dad alert
What does Hook say at 00:41? I can't figure it out?
"It's a little old fashion even by my standards and i still play with dubloons" :)
Ohhh ok! It was a little hard to understand, so thank you. :)
Jessica L Thanks for sharing that! I have watched this scene over and over again without understanding a word he said -.- Does he speak that inarticulate or is that some kind of accent? (sorry, non-native speaker)
Jessica L thank you

She says in a later episode that she was afraid of losing Hook just like she lost Neal and Graham, which is why she was pushing him away.
Omg
Awk-ward...
she's already an adult
Kristine Avendano yeah, but charming is just protective of her
It's the dad code.

So they replaced Neal for a one handed hooked pirate with a drinking problem?Nice :-/.
Mackenzie Blair first of all she didn't replace Bae, he died, nothing they could do, & secondly there is ALOT more to Killian than that and you know it, He would risk his life over and over for her. And more..
+Mackenzie Blair Hook was a big part of the show before Neal was. So I'd say nah, he's not a replacement.
I still love hook. A lot.
Mackenzie Blair didn't seem like it ....
This may be unpopular but I never really thought Neal was great anyways! He had redeeming moments (yay complex characters) but tbh I would've been disappointed if Emma got back together with him.
