Why would they not give people fair warning so they can make sure their accounts are in order. A lot of people will lose everything because of Respawns absolute lack of transparency. If they're worried about people stealing accounts/items, it would be wise to set up some kind of authenticator to prevent that. This is kind of an L disguised as a W.

Not only that, but the people who were unlinking and link their accounts may have a chance at losing all their progress including purchases. Which if EA refuses to restore people's accounts, they could be taken to court since people have invested real world money into the game.

This is really getting me worried, I was so desperate that I linked and unlinked accounts on the first day. I didn't know that they would release it in waves at first, or that I would have to wait for a prompt. I'm just really hoping that I haven't messed things up
Why would you have linked and unlinked in the first place? Logically it has no impact on whether you get it now or later. I've heard of people doing this but haven't had the chance to directly ask why.
@mustache2295 because when I first had my PC, I made another ea account cause I didn't know I already had one, I thought my ps on apex would only be alone as a ps account. So when I realised my accounts had no connection whatsoever, that's why I did it
@itzolimin4te if u unlinked another EA Account and Linked to the PS one u not getting it, u should've had the same EA account linked to both consoles before the 26th October
@itzolimin4te I’d reach out to EA support and see if they can merge your separate EA accounts. They’ve done stuff like that in the past. Just explain that you weren’t aware you already had an account when you switched to pc

I've been waiting to start playing apex on my pc until after cross-progression came out so i could just start with all my stuff, but no, of course it can't be that simple, even though it can't be that hard to do compared to actually merging two accounts.
I got the cross progression rn and my skins form console didin't merge (i had skins from season 1 lol) Should I write to support or wait for them to come?
Maybe go to support to check but I heard that the merge takes a few days depending on how many items you have. Maybe wait a few days and see it should all come

For the ppl who have a different email on their console account than their steam account you have to choose an account you want to keep bc you cant merge them both if the accounts was made on different emails.

Problem is many dont have access to the email of the original EA account anymore, therefore cannot link/unlink different platforms because they just dont receive the verification code they need to do this. And EA support just doesnt do anything. Also need to add that this includes changing username of the account.

its simple, back then we used branch accounts or multiple accounts under 1 email on ps4 because the host was usually the owner of all the accounts and it was complicated to seperate the accounts atleast for me so if that og email that like 5 people used isnt yours u lose all of it@@Rianuary

Cant play any EA sports games on my xbox and cant link because I don't have access to the email I ditched years and years ago...my xbox made my EA accont for me. Then EA deleted the account llollol........due to inactivity
@@Rianuary U need to consider that people back then start the game creating an account and just leave it be without writing it down, obiviously not ideal but no one thought that we would come this far. And then again its EAs fault for literally not having anything to combat this issue to recover old lost emails.

I have a steam acc that i havnt played on in a couple years and am looking to get back on steam for cross progression. What should I do? would my account from switch carry over to a new steam account or will I have to play on origin for the switch stats and stuff to carry over?
sooo i linked my steam account to my main ea account after the launch will i still get the option
my main account with lots of skins and an heirloom is linked to my ea account. i do not play apex on steam anymore but on the ea app(known as origin) when i play apex from the ea app its a fresh account. will i still get the pop up and be able to transfer the xbox progress to pc? also in the club section in game it says that my additional platform its the same ea account i was talking about.
Hi i recieve the fisrt pop up msg saying they will make the progression but when i press continue dnt do nothing. Just for enter the game pressing X nothing more and the pop up Window disapears.

Can confirm I caught cross progression. Existing PC accounts prior to OCT26 on same EA account will carry over their progress. Heirloom pack opening count is not added, uses primary account's counter.

I made a pc account on the day the season came out (October 31st) does this mean I won’t get cross progression, and I’ll be forced to play apex on console if I wish to keep everything?
stats based badges do not (so, if you got a 4K on wraith on PC that is your "secondary" acc, and no 4K on xbox that is your "primary" acc, you still won't have a 4K) @@Kenobiix
what'll happen is that you will retain all your console stats but nothing you gained on PC will carry over. so, if you got like 30 apex packs on PC, you will not see them show up on console. @@RafCoffeeFloof

I had a question myself... i bought the caustic prestige skin on pc when it came out a few months ago... im an xbox main and i have 9 heirlooms.. plus all types of skins... when it does merge, will i get my casutic prestige skin? or will i just get everything from my xbox acct, and everything from pc will be overridden?
No non-duplicate cosmetics are supposed to be lost; you should be good.

i got my xbox account linked to a ea account and my steam one linked to another ,i got stuff in both so what could i do whitout losing anything
So I originally had a ps4 account with a lot of good cosmetics that I wanted on my main EA account, so I accidently linked the wrong ps4 account to my EA account. Then I log on my pc today and get the prompt but I get nothing past the prompt. Cause the ps4 account I linked has nothing on it. So I decided to link my actual lvl 300 ps4 account to my EA account. Turns out you cant link more than 1 ps4 platform to an EA account in its lifetime. I'm ticked off at how stupid of a rule that is, what happens to people who are in my situation, or people who haven't linked their accounts and get the cross progression prompt. Now I wont be able to get all the classic skins I had on ps4, Battle pass flatline and numerous others. Is there a way around this?
They literally mentioned it in the patch notes it'll be in waves. People can't read apparently lol.
Yeah, about that. I want my Xbox account to be merged with my Steam account, but they have different emails. And I can’t change my Xbox EA account to have the same email as my Steam EA account cause 1. It won’t let me use the same email I used on a different EA account m, and 2. I deleted the email that my Xbox account was originally linked to and replaced it with the email I used for my Steam account, but EA still thinks that email exists, and tries to send a verification code to it, even though it doesn’t exist, instead of switching to the email my Xbox account is switched to.

You loose stats from one account, your main most leveled account is the progress it takes from

na dont do any unlinking bro. it will reset the progress on the account you unlinked. if you have played on 2 seperate ea accounts, you will not be able to merge

what's your highest lvl acct? If its pc then you'll get your pc account skins, cosmetics, heirlooms, crafting metals, apex coins, etc.. if you are at a higher lvl on ps then you'll get everything from ps.

Don’t really care as long as I get to access Xbox acc on PC. But feel I might have jumped the gun too early.
I did the same thing with linking my ps account a on the 27th. I’m pretty sure you can still get all of your items on pc but any progress you make on your pc before you merge will not carry over with the merge. Srry if that sounded confusing

if you have accidentally mained apex on two different EA accounts (like i have) it has been confirmed to me that these two accounts can never be merged,
I had 2 EA accounts, the one I had on my PSN profile and the one I had on Xbox (all my stuff is actually here)
So I unlinked the PSN EA account to link to the one I used on Xbox, I don't care about losing my psn stuff, I just want my old stuff back from Xbox, will I still get to use cross progression????

I linked my steam account to my old xbox account with all my stuff on it. I'm level one rn as I expected since it didn't bother me that my steam account would get wiped. I just want my xbox stuff back when the merge prompt comes up but for some reason I'm in the club I was in on xbox despite my account on pc being fresh. Does this mean my xbox account was wiped or its just something that happens and its prepping for the merge?

My apex won’t load nothing but the Home Screen an the clubs tab , I don’t have any skin nor can I even go to the legends of loadout tab to even look only thing I have is my level , all of this happened after linking my PlayStation account to ea in order for the merge between my accounts to b successful but after doin that I lost everything not sure if it’ll come back but as of now , my currency is flashing white an I have no cosmetics 🤦🏽♂️
