Still Wakes the Deep shows hints of greatness in between the gamified moments when the story is able to breathe, the performances are able to shine and the composition is able to set the tone. Unfortunately, these moments are fused together with the same problems that plague the horror genre: Repetitive missions, tired gameplay mechanics and predictability.

Still Wakes the Deep is fun and there's lots of positives to it but I don't find it particularly scary. The last great horror game I played was Amnesia: The Bunker. It had me screaming at the screen.

It’s based extremely heavily off an old movie from the 80’s called “The Thing”. But yes some form of adaptation or a sequel would be amazing.

Im very happy that Capcom got things back on track with RE with RE7. I remember that demo freaked me out. The game was also very creepy until you got out of the house.
