HI guys, was it an automatic or manual? About to buy a 2019 180CV powershift but have doubts on snow and car loaded around 350kg. How would you say it will behave exiting a parking with a very short turn in a 30º up inclination? Thanks in advance.

@@sevenpointsixtwo9707 Your right they are not. They are marketed as such. But essentially they are AWD just like my 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD. Both sharing the same platform with each other and ground clearance. I was impressed though by what it "could" handle notice i stress could. My next vehicle will be a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and that will be leaps and bounds ahead of this or my current vehicle.
holy shit, this 4wd is doing well with standard tyres for off-road terrain. I'll add it to my choices of the next construction workhorse.
I dislike fords but these new escapes are a really big bang for your buck!

All terrain Falken, that’s what’s you need.
Giving it to much gas, if you go slower and keep steady speed it's easier to get up those mud and snow hills, otherwise you're just making ruts and digging in deeper

Now with TRUE 4WD not something marketed as such and it's really an AWD system. You'd be able too get through all of this. Such as a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have a 2015 Lincoln MKC 2.0 AWD which shares the same platform as the Escape/Kuga. And it's AWD i don't see how the Escape is any better being "4WD" when essentially it's just an AWD system. A Grand Cherokee would go through ALL of this like butter. Which is why it's my short list for new vehicles.

What engine is your Kuga? I have a 2 Ltre Diesel and I think with the lower torque it performs better
1.5 gasoline turbo 150hp or 1.6 gasoline turbo 182hp.

@@AutoFailsUSA I'm not criticising the kuga as a SUV, I had my first for 10 years, and I've had my second for 4 years, I've never been stuck, in what little snow we have, but it's no land rover, and I wouldn't go "off roading" with one.
No one buys ANY of these for off road, lol.
I think that's all-wheel-drive not four-wheel-drive. Big difference.

Until you have a Ford Powershift moment and a faulty solenoid kicks in or you overhead the AWD or the transmission itself this car is nothing but a giant error code the engine is great but the entire drivetrain sucks (2014 ford kuga 2.0 CDTI)

Andrew Offroad - I’ve been off-roading for decades. With the right tires, the escape kicks butt. Self cleaning winter tires (not snow tires) or extra wide knobby mud tires.
It's off road enough for me.

An SUV’s performs is only as good at the tires that are on the vehicle. Extreme oversized knobby tires would allowed this SUV to get up the steep hill with the greatest of ease, despite the extreme ruts.
nice tries but I suggest you go read the car manual, a comment on another video pointed me to it and it explained why the car is never present in comparisons where you have the rav4 forester and all it's competitors...you are not allowed to use the awd for offroad and by offroad Ford says precisely "any no flat or obstructed road different than a regular driving road" the snow test is what I can guarantee you they would call an obstruction and the dirt slope an instant voidance of your warranty..it's a city car officially.not for me
