What natural fly control do you use?

Soooo, if you can't buy loose minerals and be regenerative, why is getting minerals from a friend okay? Am I missing something?

For one, I do purchase minerals, and feed those that I purchase. I do not however buy minerals containing pesticides (branded as fly control minerals). There are many different brands and mixes to choose from. My friend gave me minerals not containing the killer chemicals in them. So yes, instead of throwing them away I stored them and fed them as needed, adding in the garlic powder for a herbalistic fly control. This year I was really paying attention to see how well it worked. Most regular commercial farmers just go out into their cow pastures with a sprayer and stray fly control chemicals directly on their cows bodies and faces. I don't believe this type of heavy contamination is required for giving my animals some sort of relief from pests. So we are simply trying this venture.
