Sometimes I use a long narrow thin scarf that matches my hair color.
I loop the scarf through the elastic, and tie it.
Then I braid the scarf in with my own hair.
People tell me it looks nice.

since your last video I do the zigzag sectioning in the front for the pieces leaving out. Works wonders !! And back in the day when I still did high ponytails or high buns I always used to do the back and lower hair first and then softly lay the front hairs over it ( soo that not all my hair was tucking on it ) . Bit like you did now only I did the front part last. Works also very well Thanks for the tips !

🎀 I liked this quick tutorial, it is really very easy to do. One trick to make your hair look like more with this bun is to do a slight zig-zag part. That seems to help because your hair will partially going "against the grain" and has a little more volume. Also you can cover up thinner parts of hair with it.

This was so perfect, as our hair seems very close in amount and length of the hair. I will be trying this for sure ! I’ve got really fine, thin hair as well but I love to wear my hair up! 2 products I can’t live without r Sexy Hair Big powder play that gives my hair grip to tease or put up. The other is Roots Touchup from Avon of all places to color those areas where my scalp really shines thru! Every time I use these and put my hair up people always compliment me saying oh they wish they had as much hair as I do to put their hair up!😅 They r really great products!

Thank you for doing this one! My mom has blonde hair and it's significantly thinner than yours, and she's always asking me to do messy buns. I can get the bun to look big (I often do 2 buns right next to each other that look like 1), but I have the hardest time getting the hairline in front to look good! I'm gonna try this today. P.S. Almost every other video from youtubers talking about how to do things for thin hair involves them obviously wearing a ton of extensions, which is annoying. Thanks for having it be your actual hair!

Hello, I just subscribed after seeing your tutorial on how to do a high bun on thin fine hair. Can you do a video showing hairstyles for bride who is going to wear a two tier veil (the one that covers the front and back of bride's head) for someone with FINE THIN hair? It's very hard to fine videos for people with thin fine hair (especially under this topic). I know you have done a few on yourself in the past and those were extremely helpful. Please do a tutorial on how to do this. Also, this is on hair that does not hold a curl for very long so if you can, please take this into consideration as well. Also, since the groom is going to be flipping the front of the veil, there needs to be stability in the installation of the veil so it does not fall out or mess up the hair. If you have any recommendations on whether or not to include hair accessories (like clips or tiarras) with this style, please advise and if so please recommend which ones to buy and where to purchase. Links would be extremely helpful and appreciated as well. Thank yo soooooooooooooo much!!!!!

It appears to me that when you leave the little bits down in front, it exposes the thin area at your hairline. If those strands were pulled back, the thin areas might not show. I know what it's like to have a thin head of fine hair. Due to menopause, I've probably lost about 2/3 of the hair I used to have & I never had a thick head of hair.
