- Fishing one of the best lakes in the state just outside of the state capital city. I am competing in a 4-hour Tuesday night derby on one of my home lakes with one of my best friend's and old team partner BJ. Bryan and I have many great memories together and have fished this lake for years. Geist Reservoir is home to one of the largest Tuesday night tournament series in the state and is where I grew up competing and learning how to fish. We got 4 hours to get it done against some of the best local Indiana fisherman. 5 fish limit 14 inch minimum

Caught my PB on a random lake out in Avon couple years ago about 1 in the morning. Fish weighed 6 61/2 pounds.

I love geist because the amount of fish is insane, catch 12 pounds is easy. But the big fish kinda depend on the time of the year. Definitely one of the best lakes in Indiana I like lake Monroe though
my grandpa and grandma lives in geist and i fished there in the summer and my grandpa recently passed away. my grandma sold the house and this reservoir will always have a special place in my heart

Most of the Lakes in Indiana are mud holes. They don't know what clear water is?
Most of the "lakes" in Indiana are just dammed up sections of river systems, so I guess that current keeps them churned up.

I drive by there quite often when I go to Indiana Gun Club or Kingen Gun Club. I have never fished it. How much if any time have you spent on Morse Reservoir that is not too far north of where you are at?

Hardly the best lake in the state, Lake X south of Warsaw takes 25lbs to place!!
Macdaddy8124U caught 30.58lbs in 5 in a tournament here so I’d say it’s pretty dang close
Lake X huh? Lol some decent lakes up there but heist is a fish factory. Or Shafer in late fall when smallies are back in the lake.
That place is GARBAGE! People have friends that live on the lake hold fish for them to win and I’ve snagged a couple cages I’ve found as well. Fish don’t look healthy anymore and it’s not worth $30 ramp fee. People that party just throw cans and junk in the lake. It’s not worth the travel if you plan a trip to this lake. Yup, I said it.
I recently moved onto the lake and have not met people or seen people that do this, the only time trash washes up is when it rains or around the main road close to the marina
