I drive a 2005 W211 avantgarde e280cdi , still a fine car. However before I drove a 2000 w210 E270cdi.
I often think about the fantastic engine , very low fuel consumption (best was 3.9 liters on 100km) on 130kmh hihgway
The e280cdi is a real fuel consumer with its 6cylinders(best was 7 liters on 100km) on 130kmh hihgway

@@henkstabilisatorstang5919 Old Benzie's had a 4 speed automatic gearbox, in best configuration set with old 3.0 6 cylinders in row turbo diesel (OM606). Mrrrrrr ;-}

I recently bought 04' e270 with original 144kkm and i love it! Brother mine is manual which one is faster and it has better top speed manual or automatic? Are these engines realible?

@Sumadins those engines are bulletproof inline 6 fop engines! Mine is inline 5 but still great! If you can get e320 with low milage you are winner
I’ve had multiple Sprinters with the OM647, now an E320 CDI with the OM642. The 647 sounds sooooo much better.
I have OM642 is it real the car have chain problem ?
@@Street911 it can happen. The chains are prone to stretching if they’re not taken care of. The chain tensioner relies on good oil pressure.

It's not faster...but it's not a really big difference between!

For design, economy, and same comfort take 270cdi ! Take after 2004 because the technologie isn’t perfect before 2003 :)

Mein schwiegervater hat auch einen. Ich finde der Motor ist eindeutig zu laut Vorallem für eine E Klasse läuft der für meinen Geschmack zu laut und vibriert stark im Leerlauf
Ist ja auch ein rauer, alter Dieselmotor noch . Erst so ab der Generation OMG646 /OM642 (also Mitte 2000er Generation der MB Dieselmotoren) wurden sie etwas "gedämpft" in der Lautstärke. Vereinzelt lese ich Beschwerden von nagelnden OM646/OM642 im Stand, aber das ist nichts Ungewöhnliches für Dieselmotoren .

Nope is not 270 177hp needs 100-200 31-32sec meanwhile 320cdi 204hp needs 100-200 25-26sec

With my 320cdi (2006) and 270cdi (2004)
3.2 = 11L/100km in city (normal drive not very faster 😓) and ~15L/100km for drive like a sport car.
2.7 = 9/100km city (with cool drive) and ~13L/100km for sport drive.

@@Street911 no stage 1 makes the car even better, its stage 2 and 3 that make the car have problems, stage 1 can even improve fuel economy if you do it with less hp than mine, my stage 1 added 60-70hp, it makes the transmission change gears in lower rpm and faster almost like a dsg, e280 cdi v6 goes up to 4200rpm but mine goes 4000 exactly bcs of the stage 1 it has a rpm limiter, and the car responds faster when you press the accelerator, i would suggest you do a stage 1, because the e270 cdi is even more reliable than a e280 cdi v6😂
@@Street911 my stage 1 280 cdi compares with e350 272hp and 400cdi 260hp and has better 0-100 than both of them😂
