I really enjoyed this series with the storyteller.
Glad you enjoyed
Loved this series! Fun places and cool to see you in a different van.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was fun!
K3 !
Great Review Scott. You present the van, as it is used in the wild. Looks just like my Stealth. Sorry I didn't follow the directions leading the group last week.
Thanks 👍
From what I've seen since the first storyteller videos, before the digital screen control, the water heats instantly, you do not have to wait like in other rigs for it to heat up.
Right on
Great video thanks. Our STO Stealth’s name is Sugar Mags cause we’re Dead Heads and they are Sweet Wheels.
Mike !
Hope you get an opportunity to try out the REVEL 4*4 or AWD.
that would be cool… Dear Winnebago !
Great series. Wish you had a chance to try the toilet but the shower was impressive. My first thought on the roof fan was, how often does it break? 😂 Also, what are the gates on the back for? They don't provide much privacy.
Thx river
Loved the video on all points. But please tell me you can change the voice on the GPS!??! LOL!
That is my chosen Siri voice, Southeast Asian (Indian) male on my iphone. Has nothing to do with Storyteller van !
Grey Lady Dances
nice
Scott, you are really hitting the mark with the Van review while at the same time hitting destinations!!
Also love the differing mood music depending on location. Love the cool Andy Capp lid…❤
Thanks! 👍
I enjoyed this series and look forward to your wrap-up. This seems much more like a "weekend warrior" type of vehicle than a full time live-in one.
Thx Jonny
I think you need a Storyteller or Revel for the Travato replacement when it's time for an upgrade.
hmmm
Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed your video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm pleasantly surprised with the shower. Would not have known without your review. Short is so tempting but do enjoy my 21 ft Solis PX. Thanks.
Glad I could help!
I suggest the name NoLou.
LOL, perfect
Love your channel, great videos , your such a great host thanks for all the knowledge and good vibes you give us 👍🍻😎
I appreciate that!
You should visit the redwood forest fossil area west of Colorado Springs , as well as Skyline drive , west side of Canon City , there are footprints overhead , in the uplift , that use to be an old lake bed
I will be back
Scott do you think an embassy on a Ford Transit all-wheel drive would do okay on that trail?
for sure
Great video Scott. Love these comparisons of the different vans out on the market. Peace be with you brother. Cheers ❤
thx for watching
Another great video, Scott. I loved Tina but love my Tammy Travato more. My first B was Van Morrison, a Roadtrek 190 Popular. Tammy is still my absolute favorite! Safe travels!
Thanks for sharing Nancy
Great video Scott! Glad to see you venture outside your urban comfort zone :)
Thanks!
Loved the tours and in town footage. Good to know you liked Tina’s shower! Out West an adventure type van is so useful and freeing. I sometimes think we spend too much time worrying over the toilet situation considering how much time is actually spent in the bathroom versus the rest of the van. Looking forward to your wrap up.
Good to know!
SCOTT Did you post the video on your final thoughts on the Storyteller? let me know where it is if you did
Leck! Final STO vid posting soon. Thanks for being interested in that. You might be surprised by my final thought
I love that you are appreciating the red rocks and the outdoors! If you love the red rocks, of course, there’s Utah… But I really enjoyed Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. This is actually a free city park and it’s just amazing to walk on that donated land. I was also surprised about the amazing beauty outside of Utah at Colorado monument. Change of subject…I’ve always wondered how those showers would work. I’m really not using mine much and the Solis lshower really takes a lot of space in my van.
Thank you for sharing Karen
Another great video Scott. Amazing !👍👏
Any, thx
I thought they did have 2.5 gallon toilets based on other videos
Yes, the storyteller Overland van does come with a portable toilet, 2.5 gallon capacity. However, for the loaner van, they remove the toilet because previous loaner people did not empty or clean it. But with a 2.5 gallon porta potty I would not be using that anyway because it’s too small.
Hey Scott as always great presentation. I think you should do this type of video in every type of VAN that is out there! You surely share a lot of information with all of us out here. Thanks again Van buddy and journey on safely. 😀✌👍
Thanks for the idea!
Interesting to see your perspective after your vid talking about the small toilet and fridge.
very good
Great review Scott! Best video of the halo shower I’ve seen. Think I prefer the Revel bath though for the privacy.
Fabio !
Sorry to hear you’re leaving vanlife but I fully understand. It was fun following you!
Hopefully you watched the whole video? It was my last day in that demo van. Moved back into my Travato and am currently finishing year 5 of full-tiem travel
Halo shower? More like hal-no shower! Thanks for sharing the solo travel, very enjoyable to watch. I remember the Morrison dinosaur exhibits, those are just plaster of Paris, there's no way they would million-year-old fossils behind plexiglass😂 dinosaurs are Disneyland for adults. Still a fun experience like watching a movie if you can suspend your disbelief. I love the van travel life, home is where you make it.
Thx Ben
Did you know George Washington never knew about dinosaurs 🦕 because they had not been discovered yet 🤷🏼♂️😂. Cool video and I do like the Storyteller but they are pricey. Get the STO Scott 😊
it is a great rig
Scott, do you offer a phone call consult service to help with class b decision making?
hmmmm. drop me a note at GoSmallLiveLarge @ gmail
There is so much to know when using any rig. One thing you may not have known is that you don’t need to run the inverter to get power to the USB and 12V outlets in the coach.
My guess is you didn’t have a USB-A cord to charge the iPad. So you needed 120VAC to power a USB-C adapter.
Just wrapped up the video. Thanks for sharing. I would really like you to film a short "wrap up" segment on your time with the STO. My favorite growth question to ask folks is "What did you learn?"
And given your bias and experiences, I'd love to hear, "What did you learn from your time with the STO (good and bad) that surprised you?"
I'd also like to know what you learned beyond the obvious "visuals". I think you touched a bit on the build quality. I'd like to hear more. What did you think about the insulation (temp and sound)? Was it a quiet van, did it keep you at a comfortable temperature? How did road noise compare with your Travato? Any comparisons to the heat/hot water in the Travato? Just as warm? Just as quiet?
And you briefly touched on the ergonomic of the galley. What did you think about the ergonomics of the rest of the coach?
Anyway, thanks for bringing us along...
Great observations C Cartee. guessing you are a STO owner ?
@@gosmall.livelarge Was it that obvious? It was a five year journey of discovery through RV Shows and Van life content creators, such as yourself to really understand my “needs” and how to fulfill them.
So far, I’m digging my Beast and all of the awesome people in the community.
Take care and safe travels. Maybe we’ll see you at an event or on the road.
Hey Scott. I'm so glad you are in Colorado.. I was so amazed at the dinosaur tacks and bulge w
When we visited.
Red Rocks... check out the museum and John Denver statue 😊
LOVE COLORADO ❤
Peace and love ❤️ thank you! Happy Trails 🎉
Zip line Royal Gorge 😂
Love your review of the STO, though your comment of no toilet is not accurate, as your only renting/ temporary use your availability to the cassette toilet is missing. Yes I know not the same as the black water tank toilet your used to in your normal house / van but STO does have a minimalist toilet. Though most either dont use / carry it or they use it in a adaptive construction way.
thx for that
Love the Dad jokes!!!!!
LOL
Porky pig said “that’s all folks”.
YES !
Great video. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Storyteller.
Hi Kim n Tim
When you write stealth on it. It's not.
LOL
LMAO that nav voice was trying to sell me an extended warranty.
LOL Round
The shower and toilet set up is a deal breaker for me. Much prefer my Pleasureway Lexor FL
got it
do you feel that the insulation is better in the story teller vs your Travato?
definitely. Travato insulation has improved, but STO is superior still I think
No real toilet and a fussy shower… = …. No thank you Storyteller. But, thank you Scott for being the guinea pig. Try the TrueVan Vision X if you get to the West Coast. It’s a short Sprinter with more of a Travato GL like shower experience.
Thx Bill
Pretty sure hot water is instant in a Storyteller
excellent
