- Occasionally, we find ourselves questioning our sanity, and for those not blessed with this angling obsession, there is no question about it. However, even with temperatures of -7oC, there is no place we’d rather be than up to our waist in a freezing river.
In truth, once temperatures reach as low as this, persuading even a Grayling to feed confidently can be a challenge. Nevertheless, if a 3lber is ever to grace our net, the chances to hit the river must be taken whenever possible, and what a day like this lacks in comfort, it certainly makes up for in atmosphere and stunning scenes, epitomic of winter Grayling fishing.
Will a fish or two make the day?
Great vid, once the rivers drop after this storm I shall be on the Tay system, I'm yet to get a 2 pounder, so hopefully I might find one this winter, tight lines boys.

Go onto Fishpal.com, and search grayling, all available day tickets are listed on there.
@@angling360 fishpal don't advertise every available Grayling tickets. For example Drumlanrig fishings on the Nith don't use Fishpal, there'll be plenty more who don't use them aswel.👍 Good video by the way.
@totebal1409 when we fish Drumlanrig beat we use fishpal. I think the listing's change when it's grayling season on certain rivers. For example, Drumlanrig isn't listed just now ( July ) but will be come November time.
Not sure why you feel you have to pull up the fin and hold the fish out of the water so long. They look just as good in or just above the water.
