(Jergins Tunnel) exists but was closed in 1967. It was built to facilitate pedestrian access to the beach in Long Beach. Nowadays, few people remember this tunnel. Not every singer can or needs to sing high notes, there’s singers that are talented and they don’t sing high notes. Something that has helped me sing better is imagining that my voice is walking on air and maybe that doesn't make sense but Lana's voice is so effortless and smooth and when I listen to her sing it sounds like air is just helping guide her voice when she hits those higher notes.

In my humble opinion, "Ocean Blvd" is light and visibility, the "Tunnel" is shadow and darkness. The desire of any human being is to be light, to be loved and to never remain in darkness (tunnel). This entire album lives around this duality. In summary: the title theme of this LP is a metaphor.
