    Everyone comparing the two Joes, but styles make the player. With Satriani, he incorpates the high volume and performance "Super-Strat" guitars that EVH made popular in the 80s. With two handed tapping and generous use of the double locking tremolo systems on his guitars. A very 80s style and approach. Bonanassa on the other hand, is as close to a throwback type of player that I've listened to in a while. Preferring to use vintage guitars and sometimes amps, with a very bluesy style that uses arpeggios, double-stop bends, minor chord pentatonics. A very late 60s and 70s style approach, pretty much what the heavy hitters in the days of Zeppelin and Deep Purple were doing. Since BCC plays classic 70s style rock, Bonanassa is a perfect fit for the band. But both Joes are incredible talents in their own unique way. 🎸🎸

    Man, I like that guitar riff that this song breaks down to. To each their own but I like this kind of driving song with the bass, guitar, and drum all playing the same riff.

    don't know if they sound like sabbath but the recommendation was probably because of glenn, who sang on 7th star and recorded 2 more albums with iommi

    super band no doubt great sound and players.. However Joe is in my opinion a different guitar player although a great rocker as well.. With his talent one has to understand that no matter what he plays it's just plain " awesome "... His future is doing a solo career vs playing with this super band.. SwB

    both are pretty amazing but BCC is a lot more British sounding and Chickenfoot are a lot more American,and then theres Vultures which is basically designed from NME.

    @venuseatsfetus Před 12 lety

    No doubt, Chickenfoot has better players. Sorry, just sayin'. Been playin' awhile and that's an easy one. Sammy can roll with Glenn. And Satch? Discussion over.........

  • @RisingSon011
    @RisingSon011 Před 12 lety

    the big difference beteween this band and Chickenfoot is that BCC has soem material worthy of their individual talents ! I agree about Chickenfoots songs having a great groove and feel , but Hagar is as shallow and cheesy as it gets when it comes to lyrics.He absolutely does not grow as an artists . Hughes has grown and he was great in the first place .

  • @josiahgust
    @josiahgust Před 12 lety

    I won't disagree on this one since Satch is a bit more of a versatile player and Glenn did have to grow on me a bit. I will say that, for the amazing lineup, I was pretty disappointed with the Chickenfoot albums. The music was great, every song has such a strong groove, but Sammy's songs were so stupid. My initial reaction was really good, but the more I listened to it, the less I liked it. BCC is equal to the sum of all the parts, but Chickenfoot is decidedly less than what it could have been.
