This can be a movie. A show where this is a race for the death. The other racers are aware about it but every time he die or get into an accident to be killed it always go back where the race or before the race started and they only have one enemy in the race. The other racers are helping each others and buying each others time and sacrificing their lives to win and end this nightmarish race.

Well, thats the plot of COA 4. The cars they race in are built from the steampunk machinery in COA 2, the place they race in is from the void from COA 1, and the bodies of the racers were made from flesh of eldritch beings from COA 3. The Announcer hosts the race, which is meant to entertain eldritch gods, and the only way to end the race is to win, or else you will have to race until you wither away. Norton managed to win, but his friends who helped him along the way never made it back to reality, and now Norton must live with that guilt.

Okay this is just a theory but, I believe that every time Norton fails or dies he wakes up back at the start of the race and is forced to restart.
i think that's pretty much it. that's why he remembered few memories of the other past races, and also the part where he crossed a line in the paper must be how many times he had repeated doing the race, they might be in a loop and the only way to escape is to win the race.

He is strong if you can use trap correctly. If he's not strong to you, then you need to improve. I saw a top Bane caught survivors with bear traps many times. And can even end games in 2 minutes.
