The Nightoys truly hit the spot for me and helped launch a short-lived genre in the FNaF community of redesigning the Nightmare animatronics to ACTUALLY look like a nightmare instead of edgy sonic OCs
But I will say Jr's Mangle tickles that part of my brain that sequels over prehistoric and dinosaur-like designs so that would reign queen over any other design I've seen so far
There should be a fnaf inspired Jurassic park game with unique mechanics and Roberta(the t.Rex animatronic)
I actually dig the FNAF4 nightmares but yeah, the Nightoys are inspiring. They actually inspired a series of doodles I did in a sketchbook that I call the “distorted animatronics” and posted to Reddit lol

The very first camera frame you see Jr's Mangle in freaks me tf out, it looks so realistic. Also, the night toys have a great surreal vibe that you don't see much in fanimatronics.

Speaking of Final Nights 3 brought back memories. I used to adore this game and was a big fan of the series. This fan game in particular with its new mechanics and scary looking animatronics. Was freaking cool rewatching CZcamsr's playthroughs back in my teen years.

Fnaf plus and other fanverse games only receive funding from Scott. Scott doesn't work on these games at all letting the devs do their own thing.

i never really find the designs like the drawkill animatronics that scary in my opinion. idk the story behind them but i find the scariest animatronics to be the ones that look the most true to the original or look somewhat normal, like it's clear it was manmade or manufactured in a factory with children being in mind of the design, not only does the uncanny look freak me out but giving it sinister mannerisms and (stating the obvious) the fact kids corpse's have been hidden in said suits is what makes it actually terrifying. like jr's for example, it went for the chuck e cheese look and nailed it, it's something you can see children loving during the day, then the second it turns night, the designs and poses they have look almost unnatural and eerie
Exactly. And to me, that's part of why the original game worked so well. The animatronics all look exactly like real animatronics made with entertainment in mind. But when they're put in dark environments and make certain expressions, they look terrifying. Ironically enough, i's honestly why I never really found the Nightmares that scary: they were trying too hard to BE scary.
@@Awsome2464same here! I personally find the nightmares cool to look at, but there’s a catch to this. The night-toys and twisted carnival animatronics try to be scary, and boy do they nail it!
This is exactly why I’ve always felt the FNaF 4 animatronics honestly don’t work in the long run. The mechanics of the game are perfect for horror, but the designs are so over-the-top that they stop being scary and start being almost goofy
@@mistertwister2000 tbf the fourth game most likely takes place in a coma/dying dream so their designs have a reason to be weird.
Imo Nightmare's design in particular gets better once you realise his red eyes + exposed brain are supposed to reflect how the bite victim looked.
Battington's animatronics freak me out for the same reason. They have that realistic kid appeal yet they look so _creepy._

3:48 I forgot what these guys were called so I'm actually really glad I came to this video. Drawkill was what was scaring me the most when I was younger. I absolutely adored this short lived part of the fandom. I really wish a fan game got made out of the Drawkill animatronics.

The Drawkills, to this day still my all-time favorites. To clear any common confusion: GoldenLaneStudio didn't create the Drawkills, nor is his story canon in any way. They're cyberpunk animatronics created by an artist named "Drawkill", hence their name. (Not bashing on you or anything, I just see people more often than not give credit to the wrong person for their creation. Sorry if I made it seem that way.)
Also the Dementeds: my second favorites. I don't know much about them myself but I think RealFaliz said he thought of the design for them from a nightmare he had about them a few years ago.

The Sinister Ones are very simple but not any less terrifying
For me the Drawkill SpringTrap are the scariest for me in my child age. It have like meaty claws at the back and the bones and the meat the strap into the body like it have been infected and crushed into the suit.
To anyone who thought that the Night toys were creepy because of how organic they looked, Smamuel made a video called "The hidden Nightmares" which shows the FnaF 4 animatronics in their absolutely scariest form. I really recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet (you probably saw parts of it in a short)

I’m super surprised that the Drawkill animatronics were in this list, I have not heard anyone talk about Drawkill/heard the name in years. they are more than cute.
Which is funny since over the years they went from being freaky to now being cute. XD
Personally, I would have given at least an honorable mention to the redesigns of the nightmarish animatronics that appeared in the hidden nightmares animation, although, I really don't think they can be called animatronics as such, as the animation goes to great lengths to make them look as organic and grotesque as possible without the need to over-exaggerate them as the originals do. They are simple but incredibly disturbing designs, I dare say that, as nightmarish monsters, they work even better than the original nightmare animatronics.

So.. the animatronics in the Twisted carnival were based off of "The Rockafire explosion" and "Billybobs wonderland" Animatronics, it adds a bit more what we call "Realism" To them

Sinister turmoil will always be my favorite fan made fnaf project. Even though it never got made just the designs, ideas and concepts really tingles my pringles and I dont know why (I liked that also scrapped circus version of sinister turmoil as well but the og st will always be my favourite)

The draw kill animatronics were so scary not because there wasn’t a lot of fan art back then, but because fan art back then was either bad photoshop or low quality drawings that you mostly find on deviant art. So seeing fan art with so much effort was creepy
