For a stand in drummer who had learnt the songs the day before, he absolutely nailed it. Obviously there were noticeable mistakes, but still, so impressed at his ability.
I kinda like the drumming. The performance feels like they’re winging it and having fun

I've been a die hard fan of Emarosa, since 'This Is Your Way Out' and i have to say wow. Although he is the new guy, and jonny definitely left some big shoes to fill, But it seems like he's doing absolutely great. From the moment he sang 'Tailored SHEETSSSS!!!' in this video, I knew, This is the guy for Emarosa. Thank you very much for uploading!!
The "tailored sheets" line was a bit rocky, but everything after that was legit as fuck. It's tough doing Jonny's heavy parts if you don't sing like that on a regular basis but I think this guy can pull it off.

Bradley does a good job here and he really shines on Versus.
So proud of Bradley because he didn't write these songs but he kicks ass. I don't have a favorite front man they both bring something different to each song.
I love them. Either way. I also think they are less stuck up now with Bradley. INFACT, Bradley invited me onto stage to sing I didn't go my biggest rsgret ever...btw; ( it was the best show I personally have ever been to.....sooo fun. It was at the Branx in portland oregon Devils dance tour...I went to see Emarosa♥ Awesome Aaaaaawwweeesssooommmeee!!!! They rocked it was totally rad.

Not saying Bradley is a better singer but I like his voice better than Jonny's... It's smoother and he makes the songs a bit more catchy in my opinion, he doesn't do runs 24/7 and belts it out in an alto way that I like, just my humble opinion with slight facts to back it up (:

Honestly, he's obviously just not as good a singer as Jonny, but he does alright. As a singer myself I know how fucking hard it would be to go out there and have to start off with The Past Should Stay Dead, which was Jonny's signature song and is hard as hell to sing. His range is just different. Jonny's had his fair share of bad performances over the years yes, but Bradley Walden is just not nearly as naturally talented a singer as JC, very few are.

Ha never heard Bradley sing Johnny's songs but I gotta say...he sounds better that Johnny did live ha and I think emarosa with Bradley is 10x better on their worst song.
He's just not as good as JC.
Not saying he's not good because he is a great singer, just doesn't have that amazing quality Jonny has.
And he can't sing his own song's chorus at the key he wrote it.

It's in key, he's just doing it in runs instead of screaming it like in the recorded version. That shit would wreck the fuck out of his voice if he did it exactly like that night after night, lol.
I'll make it easy, Jonny is the better singer, Jonny has a soulful & meaningful voice. Meanwhile Bradley has a shakey voice and he can't do acoustic well and Bradley can do upbeat songs but if you want meaning then Jonny is the guy

Bradley sounds 10000% better than Jonny live. Have any of you seen him live? I have, twice with Dance Gavin Dance and Emarosa. He was high on heroin both times though. He was horrible.

I HATE it when people judge Jonny by his past.
Slaves is irrelevant to how he sounded in Emarosa. Slaves is slaves. Emarosa is Emarosa. I HATE when people compare the two. The fact of the matter is he isn't in the band anymore but when he was he sounded like shit live.
Judging purely from this video... definitely not. He's struggling to reach some of the higher notes, and thus is very much out of key in those moments. (Either change the melody up, or perform the songs in a different key. Don't reach for notes you can't hit.) And even when Jonny was a mess, he had most of his full range still there at his disposal, and sang in key. Even if his annunciation might've been occasionally off, and his voice was more gritty/raw at some times than others, he was still more in tune than this guy is in this video.
And that's not even mentioning their respective melismas. If such vocal gymnastics aren't typically you're forte, then don't do them. Don't attempt it and end up having off notes in your runs, just because the previous singer was full of them. Just sing the melody straight. High or not, Jonny's melismas were effortless and on point nearly all the time. That's his bread and butter. Doesn't seem to be the case for Bradley. Not hating on him as a vocalist, he seems to have a great tone, but stick to what you're good at. Don't attempt what you aren't.

news for people prasing Bradley's vocal ability and saying he's better than Craig. You gotta be tone deaf to say that... he's missing so many notes,out of tune half of the way... this doesn't even need any opinion or taste related argument... this stuff is just too advanced for him. Obviously he's struggling singing this... even songs he wrote he doesn't sound well... asking the crowd to sing his shit ... just on second song already dead ... wow ... Emarosa great fucking singer choice. Wow i am typing as i listen to this show ... and it just gets worse ... Toast to the future... is like one of easier songs Emarosa has... and he sounds like total crap!

He auditioned for the band you know and he knew what kind of songs he's gonna have to go through. That he's new doesn't excuse this perforamnce... i've seen 2 performances with him so far, both are not good... and it's not like they have been touring for a year or something... he is not that good on the songs he wrote as well ...and he had previous stage experience with Squid the Whale. He's not exactly a newbie to this scene.

No i can not sing like Jonny, that's why i didn't audition for this band! But this guy did... and he's failing... I also don't think he is supposed to sound like Jonny, he just has to make things work in his own way, but it doesn't seem to be working out for him that well.... as i see it i think this stuff is just out of his range... i doubt time will fix that... i could be wrong, time will tell... And i don't see how me being able so sing like Jonny has to do anything with anything...
Mark Priss I think most people who make those kind of claims don't know much about music theory and just use this vocal range argument to compare both singers, which is... lame and forced. While he clearly doesn't have a wider range as Jonny, I think it's unfair to go to the extreme opposite of those people to bash the singer. He may have been a professional singer for a good while, but he's now playing a totally different genre of music. Compared to Squid The Whale, he has to give a more intense and physically exhausting performance not only because the music is more energetic, but also because he uses his higher range more often. I also always thought it is weird to judge a performance over a poor live video but that's another discussion. I've heard the new full lenght (it may or may not have leaked...) and I couldn't have expected a better fit. The whole discussion reminds me of the good ol' Anthony Green vs Cove Reber debate years and years ago. Let's hope fans will give Bradley a chance, I'm sure he'll get better at performing Emarosa's older songs.
