I shouldn’t be too surprised that no one likes Kerry Shale Henry lol. I don’t mind it personally but I wouldn’t say it’s one of the best. I would say that Keith Wickham OWNS Henry, especially as the seasons progressed S.18 and onward. Great job dude!
Um, actually, I’ll have you know that I like Kerry Shale out of nostalgia. Also because Shale occasionally did his Gordon voice on Gumball.

I really like Baldwin’s Henry voice, he sounds stuffy and grumpy like how he should be.
the UK/AUS fans tend to have a weird….distaste for Baldwin as a narrator in general so i kinda get it.
but like saying it doesn’t suit Henry is weird. “Flanderized” or not, Henry is an easily irritated and often sickly character. and that’s just Baldwin’s delivery in S5 of Henry in general, Haunted Henry and Something in the Air each kill me because of that.

I felt Baldwin’s Henry voice actually works perfectly for it cause it gives him the stuffed up nose and his grumpy attitude like in the RWS

Like you said, Keith Wickham does sound somewhat raspy at times, but I actually don't mind that. I'm honestly not surprised that people don't like Kerry Shale's Henry, but I've never had too much of an issue with that. But then again, opinions are opinions, so I very much respect yours.
I actually like Kerry Shale and Michael Brandon's voice roles as Henry.

The Baldwin Henry voice is amazing. He sounds like a stuffy, bratty teenager. That’s so relatable to me and just shows he’s tired with life in general. I think Robin Smith is fine with Henry in the other DVDs, but the clip you used from the Steamies Vs Diesels DVD, with Henry’s voice is utterly terrible. Henry voiced by Robin Smith is the definition of inconsistency. Michael Brandon’s Henry voice in S11-12 is so terrible it pulls him down severely on my ranking.

I did have a feeling Kerry Shale would be the bottom of the list, but I didn't expect to see Pierce Brosnan at the top of the list. As for character voices you should rank next, maybe you should do Edward or maybe a TV series character, like Emily.
Like Gordon, Henry is a character who's (if not all) voices are manufactured due to how many times he had been written or much of a large factor his life is. And so it can be very hard to keep him sound natural and keep his character consistent at the same time. Side-note, I love Alec Baldwin's Henry voice.
So the only two people that managed to get him right are both Kevin Frank and Simon Hepworth (Henry's subplot of being ill was written in the script/final cut of the film so the stuffed up part isn't like it was done on purpose, so Kevin Frank still gave it his all and I'm sure he'd still do a more fantastic job in two other scenes that were originally written in the script like how he was offended about Percy using the word 'silence' and thanking Thomas for bringing the new coal). So Kevin Frank is now my favorite Henry VA!
However, outside those English-speaking voices, Ryō Horikawa really nailed his character and sounded natural too in the Japanese dub of S1-8!
Fun fact: Ryo Horikawa is also famous for voicing Vegeta in Dragon Ball.

And then in season 9 to 24 henry's japanese voice went from the prince of all sayians to the fastest thing alive.

Same here, besides in terms of tone I couldn’t imagine if Kerry made Henry sound similar to Gordon or James and Sir Topham Hatt (both at the time from HOTR to S18).
Kind of makes him sound like Lenny from _The Simpsons._

I never knew why but Henry is by far my favorite of the first 10 engines. I kinda think that he’s trying to be posh cause he’s basically a badly designed Gordon and I know Awdry hated that they made Henry a nature lover because it’s not accurate to how railroads work but I like it. I think it’s nice to see engines having interests outside of favorite stations or types of trains to pull. Thanks for the rating of his VAs and I can’t wait to see what you do next

George's voices for Henry is my personal favorite because of how I see in my headcanon. I headcanon Henry being done with life and very cynical view on most things except for nature and a few things but also sympathetic. George's voice has that grandpa hating everything around him type, but also that sympathetic edge to him like you said.
Idk why people dog on s7 Micheal Angelis. I genuinely enjoy his delivery in alot of episodes. Especially in Emily's new coaches, spotless record, and peace and quiet. His voice just works so well, with the more calm /monoton feel of s7. If someone like Carlin or Baldwin did the dub I think they would actually slightly ruin s7s whole vibe

If I’m honest, Willie Rushton’s Henry (one of the people who recorded audiobook versions of Wilbert’s books) is one of my favorite interpretations of his character, along with Ted Robbins’s portrayal in his rendition of Henry and the Express (one of Christopher’s books).
Willie Rushton’s work on The Railway Series in general is some of the best in the whole franchise imo, along with Angelis and Carlin in the TV series. His narration is very much informed by the lore of the books, being the only narrator in the whole franchise who pronounces Rheneas the way Wilbert Awdry intended it to be pronounced (RHEN-e-as, instead of the more widely known rhen-AY-iss).
The thing about Robin Smith's Henry voice: It is inconsistent as all hell
I'm pretty sure he has changed no character voice more frequently than Henry's. Sometimes he sounds like the Steamies Vs. Diesels DVD menu game (less said the better), other times he actually sounds fairly spot on

Thank you, I commented that too. His voices in the Steamies VS Diesels game, other than Henry, are pretty good. Harvey and BoCo are examples. Henry’s voice in the Best Of Thomas and the Early Years DVD games are pretty decent.
ALEC BALDWIN DID THE ABSOLUTE BEST HENRY VOICE!!!! Same for Gordon and James, he’s literally the best f*cking narrator for the show and he narrated the best season. The main reason I love season 5 is because of Alec’s Henry voice and Henry’s attitude, season 5 was the most tough and stuffy he’s ever been, he wasn’t a scared wimp, he was pretty bad a$$. Season 5 is the best season! But Alec’s Henry voice for season 6 was so disappointing!
I like Kerry Shale and Michael Brandon’s voice for Henry. I don’t like Kevin Frank’s performance as Henry as he made him sound too bland and young. John Cleese would have been better to make Henry sound more grumpy and dignified. That’s part of his character. If they were to make more episodes or good movies to have Henry in an active role like Thomas, Percy and James (instead of the crappy reboot), Henry definitely would have been Near Pure Good as he subverted most of his rude and selfish traits by season 8, despite still being arrogant. Gordon would have also been Inconsistently Admirable as he didn’t subvert many of his corrupting traits like Thomas and James if he did more heroic actions.

12:17 Nope your not the only one who likes Angelis in S7. I also rewatched the episodes as him being the narrator and honestly he was okay, sure he wasn’t excited in S6 but who cares. To me I think the best voice actor for Henry is Angelis, Carlin, and Ringo. As I started to rewatch the classic series of Thomas, and yes I was born in America and only watched US dubs as a kid, but I did try the UK dubs as well, Ringo and Angelis actually we’re alright. It’s well ashamed that the new voice actor for Henry in CGI didn’t go well, still I kinda find it funny in my opinion how they made him so young. Still though I have to agree with the voice actor of Henry in the CGI a D tier.

3:25, I agree with this for the most part, with a few exceptions. For instance Alec Baldwin dose my favorite Oliver voice of all time. But as far as Henry goes maybe he was shown season 5 Henrys angry face and based his voice on that. But I agree, its a poor voice for Henry.

Since Mattel is looking for voice actors for Henry and Edward for AEG, and since Eddie Glen and Neil Crone came from the tatmr cast to voice back Gordon, and Glen came back but to voice Toby, I have a STRONG feeling that Kevin Frank MAY RETURN AS HENRY IN AEG! I have a feeling he'd be the only one who wants to return, but in a different universe. I know the others DEFINITELY WON'T! NO OG VOICE ACTOR OF THOMAS LOVES AEG! 😂
