2018-02-09: Notes about BRP Connect: The GPS, via Genius Maps, does not require cell connection to navigate. It downloads the entire North American Map onto your phone (approx 800Mb on iOS). All the current apps are free, with optional in-app purchases for additional features. BRP Connect can use your phone’s default map app (cell service required) for non-guidance map viewing while driving. It all looks very seamless and simple to use..! I’ll do an in-depth review one I have a 2018 demo in my hands.

That really does look like a dark teal green. The new display looks great! Is the new display available on the F3, as well as the RT?
Go blue or white. What i don’t like about the gray is that it blends with the Road and people have a hard enough time seeing us as it is.

All out blue knights club have them and it’s how we communicate on a ride with 15+ bikes. No Senna will do that.
Hi Shaun. I am a recent subscriber to your channel mainly because I just purchased my new (to me) 2016 Spyder RT Limited. I have a couple questions for you. I converted my ride from my 2016 GoldWing ABS to the Spyder and because it is new to me, I was wondering if you could shed some light on the gear changes of the Spyder. As you probably know, the GoldWing ran super smooth and the only noticeable gear shift was from 1st to 2nd. I find the Spyder kinda klunky in comparison and sometimes it even hesitates between gears while shifting up (kinda like when you let the clutch out and then it catches into the next gear). I was wondering if you could advise if that is “normal” for the bike or is it something I should have looked at. I do love my new ride but I want to make sure I keep up maintenance on it as well. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I love the look of it love the way it looks to drive and everything else question is do you need a motorcycle license to actually drive one of these things or whatever regular a car license do simple question anyone else give me a buzz back with you I left in the find out
It's different from state-to-state... Washington and Oregon requires a Trike licence. A motorcycle endorsement is not required, but all the rules apply such as helmet, etc...

I want an old can-am spider to rip all the electronic junk out and install a carburetor. I want rid of all the electronic crap that causes trouble. I would like to keep the ABS and cruise but that is all. Do they actually need power steering? If the timing advance runs through the computer that might be a problem. Also gear shifting might be a problem I'm considering building one from a very small front wheel drive car. I have a machine shop and plenty of time
I use a Dewalt bluetooth adapter on my 2015.
Not too sure I like that new console and joy stick. Have a 2014 ST Ltd and am happy with the console and buttons on it.

Is it possible to get A CB radio On a 2021Can Am Spider RT ltd And do I have to orders cruise control I have a better question Would it be possible 2 order this from the factoryI With all the Accessories? Or is it that I have to order all apart separately? I don't want to tie up the bay having to put all the accessories on !!!
No CB radios from BRP, or any other manufacturer, as far as I know... BRP had one available from 2010 to 2017 for the pre-2018 RT's, but has been discontinued. I'm pretty sure that cruise is standard on all Spyder RT's..?
BRP does not offer a model with all the accessories pre-installed. The highest level Spyder is the RT-SPE "Sea-to-Sky", but it too has lots of optional add-ons available...

Just purchased a 2018 RT Limited Dark last night....can not wait for the weather to fully cooperate to take it out....Question, I haven't found anything regarding XM satellite radio. Does this have that capability or add on?
nope - no XM connectivity
You have an auxiliary input I would use that for the xm radio

It is lamanted by some HAM's and a crap-ton of non-hams that the usability and adaptability of HAM gear for mobile applications hasn't really kept up with technology. The HAM community is shrinking, why the concerns of the non-hams should be listened to is because they are the ones who will keep it alive or let die by their level of participation.

Make sure you ride them both, as they feel and handle quite differently. Thing of the F3-LTD as a Sport Cruiser Touring and the RT-LTD as Full-Comfort Long Haul Touring...

What kind of gas mileage do the spiders get? Someone said not good. Is that true.
I have a 2015 RTS and the best gas mileage I have seen so far is 52.5 MPG (imperial gal.)
Cool, I had heard in the 20's which would have been terrible for a bike. I get like 42-45 on my 14 HD Ultra Ltd.
52.5 is riding 2 up at Hwy. speed. From Radium Hot Springs B.C. to Calgary AB.
Normally they get between 32-45 mpg, depending on how you ride them. Freeway mileage will take you down to the low 30's
