  • Three features in DaVinci Resolve Studio are life-saving when it comes to footage shot "wrong" in-camera. So, if you have needed to reduce or remove noise, remove flickering or scale up your footage, maybe it's worth upgrading to the Studio version of DaVinci Resolve.

Have you ever been in one of these pinch situations or is it just me? 😅

Great video Alex. I have a mix of 4K and 1080P cameras. This tutorial has been very helpful. Thank you. 🙂 I love using the studio version. My limitation is not having an RTX video display.

Thank you. Ah yeah! I know how annoying that limitation can be, I hope you get and upgrade in the near future! 🙌🏻

Thanks for the tips. Does the noise reduction works only on underexposed shadow areas ? I tried it on footage transcoded from compressed source, which resulted in noise after grading. But it had no effect.

When in the node tree did you apply the Noise Reduction? If it happened due to the grading I would either try and fix it with the grading itself or make sure it's used in a node after the grading, otherwise it probably won't have any effect as DaVinci can't see any grain on the original footage before the grade - hope that makes sense.
