I've had 3 pulmonary emboli and 2 DVTs, since February, 2020. I was dismissed in an ER twice with severe symptoms. I was asked if I was anxious and asked if everything was OK at home! I was finally so sick I went to different ER and gratefully the physician wouldn't give up until he could explain why I had shortness of breath, stacked double vision, palpitations, severe fatigue, a headache, and a dry cough...YES all these symptoms didn't alarm the previous two ER physicians...unbelievable. I was immediately given a shot of Lovanox in my abdomen and rushed to a trauma 1 hospital, where I stayed for four days being monitored. I'm on warfarin for thr rest of my life because there was no specific reason for my blood clots. Terrry I'm so happy Heather was your hero! LISTEN to Terry, his advice is correct!!

My dad had many TIA's. Good for Heather for insisting you be seen. Sometimes it was even hard for me to tell. It was his slowness and bit of confusion that tipped me off. I don't think anyone else would have noticed. They are scary but my dad never had the "big stroke" that can be associated with TIA's, thank God. At then end he talked about aspirin. My dad was on blood thinners and in range so when this would happen I would give him an 80mg "baby" aspirin.

I know you must've taken thoughtful, thorough care of your dad. ❤ My dad, too, had several TIA's. It's so hard to see our closest family members go through this. I had to insist that my dad go by ambulance to the hospital when he fell in the bathroom.

I recently just had a stroke myself & it occurred in my sleep & when I woke up from my nap my right arm; hand; fingers & side of my face was drooped & I thought 💭 it was because I slept on it wrong & my daughter IMMEDIATELY called 911 cause she just knew that I either had had a stroke or was having one & sure enough she was RIGHT😢I had NO warning signs & the doctor said had she not been persistent I would’ve died that night😢I THANK her & GOD everyday that I’m still here to be with my BEAUTIFUL daughter & my PRECIOUS (2) grandsons & my PRECIOUS FURBABIES💜💜🙏🏻💜💜

Coming from a family where I found my grandmother on the floor after a stroke and I called my mom and aunt right away. I was 11 then and 65 now. My mom went to use the rest room one morning and had a massive stroke. My husband had a major stroke and it was my youngest learning disabled daughter called 911 and it saved his life. I am very prone to have a stroke and am diabetic. I’ve caught myself during low blood sugar and started eating m&m’s and it stopped the sweating. I then was weak do I was able to go in and fix something to eat and I was okay. I do know I’m very prone to having a stroke due to family history. I’m very angry with my daughter ex boyfriend who has told my daughter that if they split up that I would be trying to move in with her and she’d have to care for me and she’ll never have anyone in her life because of me. All my life I’ve been very independent and made my own money so my children would be set. I bought land which I gifted to my daughter but was in a car accident and had to use $15,000 for a car. She sold my land and made over$100,000 on it and I adopted my younger daughters don seven years ago and care for him and I have a China cabinet and dishes that are worth a lot. I wanted to care for them as my parents and brothers relied on my parents. They have nothing for there kids and I have funeral money in my daughters bank because ssi doesn’t let the disabled save but $7,000 in the bank. I don’t want my kids burdened by my death. Now I fear because of this idiot telling my daughter she’ll be left alone that I will have a stroke and be alone because of him. I plan on moving away because I don’t want her thinking I’m the cause of her being alone in life. It bothers me that she never defended me. Never would I ever say some shit like that yo anyone.
